We hadn’t been to this place in quite some time but they have almost eliminated all customer interaction. They never had great servers but now you order from a kiosk, go sit and wait until they call your name for you shake or food. You basically bus your own table like a fast food restaurant. It seems like the size of the burgers have gotten smaller and the price has increased as well, talk about shrinkflation. Honestly the food is great but they sacrificed their soul for profit it seems. They show old time photos of their restaurants but they have changed so far.

This was my first time ordering from Steak and Shake. I ordered a Buttered Steakburger Combo. The burger was very salty, the fries were the really thin shoe-string kind, and they were soggy. I paid $6.49 for a shake I never got and the iced had hair in it. I will NEVER order from Steak and Shake again.

This is the only steak and shake that’s still open around so I went for nostalgia sake. It wasn’t as good as I remembered it. The patties were super thin, fries weren’t crispy, and the strawberry milkshake didn’t tase right. Our orders were wrong, one had ketchup even though we asked for no ketchup & the other didn’t come with all the toppings I added onto it. My garlic butter burger didn’t come with the same buns showed in pictures. The soda machines weren’t working properly either – it was running out of the syrup.

Just left this Steak and Shake on West Arbrook Blvd#530. Needless to say, the service was very poor, the tables were dirty, the Butter Burger literally had a glob of butter piled on top, and more importantly the manager on duty “Serenity” was rude and refused to address this issue immediately; telling us “we had to wait”!!!

Love that they are open, much better than McDonald’s. Priced perfectly. This day I ordered & for some reason I waited & waited. After 20 minutes after people after me got there food. I asked about mine. The girl then hands me a bag & said she thought it was a pickup order. No one seems to pay the dining room Araa much attention. Table are alway dirty. The food alway hot and yummy.

The manager (Isadora) was rude. The staff appeared to be confused fatigued or both regarding orders. I spent over 20 dollars for dine in and my food was still placed in a bag without the milkshakes. At least the food was fresh and good. SMH I will visit the Lamar St. location from now on if I do decide to dine again.

Burgers are good, not great. Fries are about the same. The shakes are at their best if you can get them to make them with real ice cream instead of the weird flavorless kind they normally use
