I have to admit it has been awhile since I have been to Steak n Shake. There are no waitresses anymore, they have been replaced with a kiosk. They no longer offer the seasoned fries which is one of the main reasons we liked to go to Steak n Shake. Very disappointed with their progressive new business model. Not sure if this is all locations or just some. Some changes are not for the better and am considering contacting corporate to let them know. All the other patrons that were there when we were did not seem to happy about everything either. It was quiet and sad.

Where has customer service gone? Order your own food on a kiosk, interior is filthy, tables unclean,floors look like they haven’t been cleaned in a very long time. don’t even look in the bathrooms. And no employee EVER makes contact with you other than calling your number. Then to top it off the food is not that good.

Food was really good but as soon as we walked in I noticed the floor was sticky. The waitresses were sitting around talking. The tables were filthy and sticky. Some had food all over it still. I had to ask them if they could clean them for us, and they weren’t busy as all. Then I asked the waitress if she could clean off the table we had sat at and she walked right by me and ignored me. They used the F-word in front of customers. Very disrespectful.Very disappointed. Used to be great service and now it sucks

The food was very good everything was hot and fresh. The only issue we had was when ordered milkshakes, our order was lost. When they were finally reordered, they had come out with stuff all over the cups. They were kind to give us an extra chocolate shake. But it feels like a very secluded place, employees vs. customers. Also, only having one cash/card kiosk it took so long to wait since we only had cash.

The food at Steak and shake is always hot and fresh and arrives at the table quickly. My kids love it too. The staff is always friendly as well. My only complaint would be that the tables aren’t always as tidy as they can be.

Dishes are simple but enough for a great meal, prices are decent for the food you get in my opinion shakes are more expensive than a burger combo. I got a jalapeño burger with chili fries and I was just satisfied. They have drive through and pick up parking slots for those that use the app.

By far the worst SnS I have ever been to. If I wanted ketchup soup I would have ordered it as a side to my burger. But wait I didn’t get my order correct so what did it matter right? Maybe spend more time concentrating on the customer’s order and less time talking about your relationships.
