I have eaten at this Steak ‘n Shake location before, but it has been a year or more since. I don’t know if there is new management or what, but for fast food, the personal attention to details was great. From making sure we had what we needed to taking care of our trays, and trash was surprising, but definitely impressive. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Amazing! One of the best fast food experiences ive had in a long time. The restaurant was SO clean, everything was tidy. The food was fresh and tasted great. All of the drinks worked and tasted good. The staff was friendly and prompt, I was welcomed in the minute I stepped through the door and they took my order quickly. A+++

Stopped for lunch. The first time in years we had been to a Steak N Shake. The ordering is done on a screen as you walk into the restaurant. Was user friendly, sort of. We were able to get the order for both of us completed with little difficulty. The fountain drink process was totally new. With the receipt were two coupons that had to be scanned to get the fountain drink. Fortunately there was a very helpful attendant at this store and he provided plenty of friendly assistance. The food was typical Steak N Shake and was perfect. The thin fries were excellent. Crispy! Clean restaurant and clean restaurant room. One of the best fast food stops. Definitely recommend.

Holy cow. I haven’t EVER had service this good at a fast food restaurant. Not even close. Staff was literally everywhere helping get refills. Cleaning tables. You name it.
We don’t have these restaurants in my State so it was our first visit and I will tell you we will make this a part of our stop when we see one while we are travelling. P.S. the shakes were amazing!

We always love going to this Steak N Shake when visiting Iowa City because they always give great service! It was busy after the Iowa Hawkeyes football game, but they helped and serve everyone that walked through the door effortlessly and with great service. We saw when customers needed help with something, the workers did a great job attending quickly. The food is always amazing, service is always great, atmosphere is always awesome, as everyone comes and goes happy and enjoys the food too.

We absolutely love the food here. My only thing is the QR code that has to be scanned to fill your drink. Last time I was there, my first scan only let me fill it up half way so I had to use my second scan to fill up completely. Then I wasn’t able to get a refill. The fact that you have to scan for a refill makes us not want to go here and we end up choosing somewhere else instead. I don’t know if this is a all steak n shakes thing or if this is a location based decision but I for one would like to see them gone. They are annoying. Especially when I’m normally coming in with my two toddlers who I also have to get sodas filled for.
