We were delighted to finally visit the West End Inn; it’s a spot we’ve been looking forward to trying for some time, especially since hearing about the change in ownership. Overall, it’s a solid, enjoyable addition to the Hamburg dining scene.
The experience was anchored by wonderful service and good food. We also greatly appreciated the variety of specials offered throughout the week—we definitely plan to come back and take advantage of the kids-eat-free night on Tuesdays!
While the food was good and the service was excellent, we look forward to seeing how they continue to grow and define their menu in the future. We’ll certainly be back

We just rediscovered this hidden gem in Hamburg under new management! Absolutely love the atmosphere—and the food is awesome. The homemade soups are perfect for the blustery cold Buffalo winery day. Great food and reasonable prices and Happy Hours too. Kim the bartender and host is amazing. Check out the real Christmas tree in the pic she is currently decorating. Great hometown restaurant— a Buffalo Cheers! Also check out the new airbnbs they are offering— on their website

Delicious and Fun Brunch Atmosphere!
Finally got a chance to check out O’Brien’s for Easter Brunch Buffet. A lot of the dishes were homemade. Whoever made the French Toast Casserole should be getting some serious praise.

There were plenty of options to choose from, and the protein options did not disappoint; Ham, Roast Beef, Turkey, Breakfast Sausage, and more.

Multiple options of Mimosas? Don’t mind if I do! Cherry & pineapple mimosas were the perfect touch to this brunch.

Lastly, the atmosphere was great. I loved the kitchen-themed artwork and the belt-driven fans were really cool to see.

At this price, the brunch buffet menu should be on your radar next year.

P.S. Is it wrong to have a chicken finger on your brunch plate? Who’s to say.

My husband and I have frequented “O’Briens” for a few years now. We went last night for the first time since the new owners took over and it was excellent. I have Celiac and West End is one of very few places I eat out comfortably, and one of the only restaurants in WNY with an exclusive GF fryer.

The gluten free fish fry was incredible – I cannot emphasize this enough!

Our server was attentive and timely. She was so busy and had multiple larger tables, but did a wonderful job making suggestions on appetizers (loved the GF chicken wings) and our waters were always full.

Attended a Christmas party here and it turned out to be the perfect spot for holiday cheer. The atmosphere was warm and inviting—twinkling lights, festive decorations, and a buzzing crowd that made the evening feel extra special.
The thinly sliced roast beef was tender, juicy, and piled high, with just the right amount of au jus for that satisfying drip. It paired flawlessly with the kummelweck roll, which deserves its own shoutout, the toasted rolls were incredible. Freshly baked, topped with coarse salt, they had that ideal chewy crust and soft interior that makes every bite addictive. I could’ve eaten a dozen on their own!
To wash it all down, their Tom and Jerry drink, a cozy holiday classic that’s like a boozy eggnog hug in a mug. It was great! rich, creamy, spiced just right with nutmeg and a hint of rum warmth that cut through the winter chill.

Service was friendly and efficient, even with the party crowd. If you’re looking for a spot that nails comfort food with a holiday twist, this place is a winner. I’ll definitely be back!

We had an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The French onion was phenomenal and Jen took such great care of us without being overbearing. She was very attentive while still being busy. This place is lucky to have her!

Stopped for dinner drinks with my wife and daughter. Was not disappointed! Sat at the bar. Started out with a Tom & Jerry and the girls had Lemon Drop Martinis. Both were outstanding. My wife and I split a delicious fried bologna sandwich and my daughter had pot roast. Both were delicious. I recommend giving the place a try.

Went for Valentines Day dinner met with a waitress who was dismissive and rude. Best part of the night were the drinks! Appetizer- stuffed meatball- rock hard with some form of cheese not resembling ricotta which held an undesirable amount of garlic- inedible. Main entree for husband and friends was a rare (ordered medium) steak doused with garlic compote that contained more garlic than anyone should consume in a lifetime. Our party attempted to scrape it off through tears. Shrimp scampi linguine consisted of gray canned lump crab, “minced” scallops cooking to resemble a type much like chewing gum bands and shrimp that was chopped in ball shapes cooked to a rubber consistency. This was all delightfully mixed into a linguine unlike I’ve ever seen, reminded of ramen, that the chef thought he’d chop into small pieces for the easier consumption. Oh and our strawberry topped brownie with strawberry sauce and ice cream was really a rock hard stale brownie topped with freezer burned ice cream and Hershey’s chocolate drizzle. $240 later our dinner party stunk of garlic, left with stomach aches and hunger pangs. Happy Valentine’s to us!
No thanks West End- next time we’ll pass!
