Watching them turn away business because they think they’re busy. It’s 2pm…you’re not busy. Bus some tables and get back to work. 30 minutes later we overhear the waitress apologize for the hour wait to a couple nearby. A wait was never communicated to us. My children are hungry. We left. Not worth it.

This place is closed up for good. After reading the most recent reviews ( 3 years old ) it seems that they lost the passion and ambition for running a restaurant. Too bad. With the right concept this location would rock !

The last time my girlfriend and I went to this restaurant, we were the only 2 there later at night, besides the staff. After waiting longer than what should have been to get our order, we were then essentially ignored the rest of the almost hour or so that we were in there, except for one time when he got her a refill on her water. As we were leaving, and paying the check, the waiter then proceeded to insult my girlfriend in her gift buying for me, repeatedly, and then said if we were offended that it was our own fault. Haven’t been back since then, and hopefully when they open back up they will be better prepared to serve customers.

We ate here a lot when we lived in town. We have been here a few time since we moved, but tonight was our first time in a long while. We walked in to a mostly empty restaurant with mostly dirty tables and a filthy floor. We had 8 in our party. We were waiting to be seated for several minutes when a guy from the kitchen came out to tell us he couldn’t seat us, but would try to find us help. One customer left angry while we were still waiting to be seated. Another customer left and said the food wasn’t that good. Finally, a waitress asked how many people we had then said she was sorry but there wasn’t a clean table for us. I asked if someone could clean a table. She leaves and a few minutes later another waitress came over and asked how many. She told us there wasn’t a table big enough and she was sorry. I asked if they would rather us go somewhere else. She said, “Well, I can’t say that, but….” She walked off and a manger in a red shirt came out and asked how many we had and said he’d get someone to clean a table. We were discussing whether we should just leave when another server came out grabbed 8 menus and said to follow her. She threw the menus on a table that had been wiped off, but left the bus tub full of dishes and food sitting on the bench which was covered with ice, pieces of food, and some liquid. We stood there waiting for someone to come finish cleaning the bench off for several minutes. No one EVER came back over. We walked out. Awful experience! Deserves “0” stars!!!

Corporate needs to withdraw this franchise’s license or step in to improve the situation. This location is understaffed and cannot operate properly a majority of the time. Ex} My parents pulled up to the drive thru on a Saturday evening, quickly told it would be a 45 minute wait. Confused because a wait that long for a drive thru is insane, did they hear correctly, ask for clarification… nothing. No longer responding. At the same time, the rest of my family was inside and sitting down to eat dinner. We must have made the cut because we were served. Although we watched multiple people try to come in after us only to be turned away and our waitress had to cook our food in order for everything to be served timely. Keep in mind the restaurant only has a few tables seated and is mostly open. I felt bad for the waitress because she was doing her best but she simply couldn’t do it all. It’s only a matter of time before this location closes because they can’t serve anyone.

The food is good, but the staff seems unorganized as the wait times are very long (in excess of 20 minutes before the initial order is taken, and an additional 45 minutes for food to be served). Several times there have been mistakes with our order; most recently our shakes and side items were completely forgotten even though they were listed on the bill. I have been a customer of Steak ‘n Shake for years so I am saddened to have to leave this review. I hope that in time the service will improve.
