Pretty on par with what you’d expect from a Steak & Shake—food is great, lots of open seating, self service soda machine, orders called out over the mic when ready.

It was a positive one overall. I just find it weird that most places around here, including this establishment uses kiosks instead of ordering from real people. I am from Utah, so service expectations may be different. The food was better than other places that sell burgers and shakes. The Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter milkshake is the best milkshake I have ever tried. It was very creamy!

This was my favorite rat Expedia de at a shake n bake and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent at an excellent price ($4.24) for a double cheeseburger, fries and a shake. Easily 10-1$ anywhere else and the food was really great, the portion sizes were right on par with any other burger chain. The customer service was great it was fast efficient and the employees were polite and most importantly the order was correct the first time. Definitely worth checking out

The food at Steak ‘n Shake never disappoints for the price. Decent food cheap. It’s been a couple years since I’ve been here (pre-COVID) and it’s definitely changed. You no longer have a service, most things are self-serve. You place your order at a kiosk when you walk in and find a seat and get your drinks yourself. I actually prefer this more than the old setup.

This was my first time at a Steak n Shake with the self service kiosks and I loved it! The only qualm I ever had with the chain has always been the slow service and this completely solved the issue. The food was amazing. The restaurant was clean. I wish I didn’t live an hour away.

Of course everything is modern tech nowadays . Sort of disappointed due to the fact that we have not been there for awhile? So now when you go in, no customer service whatsoever! Order your food, need to use the kiosk! I’m not that old, but be real people….whatever happened to Customer Service? The only communication that you do get from a waiter is when they call your name to go pick up your food? Nothing on the tables anymore? Where’s the Uncle Pete’s little hot peppers, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard? You are actually waiting on yourself the whole time, glad you don’t have to tip these people!

All automated ordering now so no one to ask questions about menu if new or help with using kiosk. Food took way too long to get after ordering. Cheeseburger unremarkable, fries OK. Have to go pick up the food when ready and “server” was rude when I asked why people who came after me were getting food before me. (It was not a complicated or large order.) Paid extra for honey mustard but never got it. Only good thing was the Reese cup milkshake!

If I could give service a zero, I would. The old Steak and Shake is no more. At least before you could get greasy food that is bad food you and have someone wait a table somewhat. Now it is impossible to customize your meal as you like because you have zero contact with a human from the moment you walk in until you walk out. Condiments such as sport pepper are no longer available and if they are, it doesn’t matter because you cannot get to a human to ask. The soda machine had flat watery diet soda, no problem, switched to unsweetened tea that was also flavorless. Husband enjoyed his chili five way, but was disappointed over his dog not having his sauces. The insult to it was when placing our order, the audacity to ask if we wanted to tip. Who are we tipping? Why isn’t Steak and Shake paying their few remaining employees higher wages with the extra they have from no longer employing servers? We will never step foot back into a one favorite place.

The kiosk that accepts cash took my money and didn’t count it. They said they would call to tell me that they have my money when they counted last night. Never got a call. Had to pay at the counter for my food. Ended up paying almost 30 dollars for a burger, fries, and a sweet tea.

The drive-thru experience was wonderful. The employees were very friendly and courteous. They took time to ensure the accuracy of the order and the food was exceptional. Try the onion rings (you’ll thank me later). Got a triple steak burger (loaded) and was not disappointed. Next time I’m in the Ohio Valley I will definitely stop by.
