Cute little burger place. I tried the fish and chips and it was fantastic. The fries could use some salt but the fish was the perfect texture and super good. Nice workers and good atmosphere, if a bit crowded in such a small space.

Open during the first Bomb Cyclone of 23′ serving up hot fries and home style burgers!!! Quite the busy little hole in the wall kinda place. Nice pellet stove fire with amazing, friendly service!!

I haven’t visited stars in over a year so I didn’t know what to expect coming back. I got a double double with some Cajun fries. The burger was great. The Pattie’s were juicy, the pickles savory, and the whole thing melted in my mouth. I’m not a huge fan of mayo but the way they were able to combine it with the mustard came together so well. The fries here are nothing to write home about and I would say the same thing about the cajun fries. It felt like they put cajun seasoning on it right before it came out. Overall a great burger experience but if you’re looking for good fries, this isn’t the place to come to.

Stars is a Arcata and Humboldt classic. Good standard burgers. Not one of those places trying to serve enormous ones you can’t fit into your mouth. Good grass fed local beer.

This place is a joke, a waste of money a horrible service. The cashier had the audacity to ask for a TIP for just taking our order. It is rude to ask for a tip it is up to the customer to decide not for you to ask. I should not have to give you a tip for doing your job its different when you’re a server at a sit down restaurant. Root beer float was $6 which is overpriced as hell. Dipping sauce for your fries is 1.50 thats insane. McDonald’s charges cheaper for sauce for the same amount that they gave me. Burgers were small for the price and not well season. Do NOT order the garlic fries, not real garlic fries they microwave frozen fries and put garlic powder on them, thats not garlic fries. Burgers dont come with cheese you have to pay EXTRA. Only positive is that they out their pickles on the side. For $35 this place is not it, do not come here!!!!

The food is good for days when you’re feeling American, sad and lazy. One day I decided to give them a call to place a pick up order at 7pm (a full hour left till closing). Well they didn’t pick up the phone & I’m like “maybe they’re busy, it is late”. When I got there, it was literally empty, I was the only one there. A couple of girls sitting outside so its not Like they were busy tending to customers. Maybe the workers aren’t paid enough but they didn’t care enough to answer the phone. It rang while I was waiting for my food & they ignored that call too. The cherry on top was them asking me for a tip… for a take out order.

Man these guys know how to make a good classic burger and we made it a point to stop by when we are in town.

Really good burgers, onion rings and shakes. We were in the area for a college tour and the tour guide at Humboldt State told us that the creator of SpongeBob went to college there. He apparently based some of the show on businesses in the area and Stars was the inspiration for The Krusty Krab!
