Absolutely rude late afternoon/evening staff. I was waiting in line to use the bathroom and one of the baristas or whatnot cuts me off, and goes to the bathroom. No explanation, no words spoken. I didn’t catch her name, but she truly doesn’t seem like she deserves to even work here, based on the other positive reviews about the other staff.

It says they close at 7:30 yet rudely kick you out 15 mins before. What kind of customer service is that? I go to different Starbucks daily and I’ve never been kicked out before closing. Not to mention my coffee was watered down. Sadly disappointed.

After purchasing a drink, I asked for the code to the ladies room and the barista told me I had to purchase something. I told her that I just had a drink and lemon bread, but she didn’t believe me and kept saying I had to buy something. That doesn’t sound right. So I left.

Excellent service even within 30 minutes of closing. The barista was patient and eager to help. I often visit this location at State and Adams and consistently receive good service from the friendly staff.

I have been to a few Starbucks, but this particular location stands above the rest. I was staying across the Street at the Palmer House but needed an earlier opening than the Starbucks located in the hotel. Was glad to see this location across the street on State/Adams opened at 5:30 am. I ordered Oatmeal, a protein box and a Cold Brew. From day one I was met by a bright smiling (you could see it in her eyes) Gennie. She is more the reason I returned daily to this location. She is prompt, cheerful. and always ready to go above and beyond to be one of the most helpful people I have ever met at a Starbucks location. Although I was visiting a city for vacation and work I found her to be the brightness that started my day off right. Starbucks and the world needs more people like her. I will give kudos to the location and the other employees who were quick and cheerful, but most of my return business was because of Gennie who welcomed me into the business and called me by name after the first visit!
