I attempted to place a mobile order via the Starbucks app at 4:30PM Saturday 8/19 to no avail. I went to the location to find the doors locked at 5:13PM despite the hours being listed at 6PM and employees still inside. I prefer the Forest Park or Berwyn location but this one is always sub par.

My go to Starbucks.. amazing staff and I probably haven’t had my caffeine fix in awhile because what in the new decor!!!!! I love the ambiance, color scheme, layout etc… I love that pickup is in front not at the back with the cute sign too for mobile orders.

The few baristas that are left at this location are phenomenal, and I’m really proud of them for sticking it out. I used to work here, and it was a store that I loved and was happy to give my whole heart to. Management changed, though, and the empathetic, energized, joyful environment that me and my phenomenal team loved working in was gone quickly. Despite my years at the store (4, non-consecutively) my input was never valued less. We were treated as though we had the worst intentions, despite the fact part of our mission is “assuming the best in people.” I felt unheard, disrespected, and it no longer felt worth it to stay. I gave some excuse about finding a better job, though, I regret that now. The new manager was not ready for his role, and instead of admitting that, being honest, and taking accountability for many, many missteps, he has chosen to double down on his poor management style. The environment felt hostile, despite the cheery demeanor he tried to hide his malice under. My heart breaks for those of us who gave up the best team we’d ever had due to the declining environment, but my heart breaks even more for those who have stayed and had to watch their store; a place we’ve poured our hearts, time, and soul into devolve into madness. RIP Starbucks Oak Park. I hope better management will bring you back to us one day.

The remaining baristas and supervisors at this store are AMAZING! Unfortunately the manager at this location has ruined the store. From what I’ve observed he’s chased almost all the employees away. He is barely nice to customers so I’m sure he’s not nice to his employees. Clearly something is wrong when 90% of employees leave the store in a few months. According to staff they have so little employees that corporate had to reduce their hours. The reduced hours have nothing to do with the store unionizing like another review says. Corporate has really dropped the ball with this once amazing store. I won’t be back until the manager is gone.

Worse Starbucks I’ve ever been too. Not only filthy out front, trash, urine stains at front entrance but very dirty inside. Flies in bakery case, tables not wiped down, etc. I will pass and try one of the other coffee shops down the street.

The baristas and the shift leads are wonderful, the manager however is a rude little man that gives an attitude to customers when he’s overwhelmed. I got my drink at another location and ended up having to go the the oak park location to have it remade since I was already almost home and didn’t wanna drive back to forest park. When I asked if my drink could be remade he sighed with an attitude and it appeared to me that he rolled his eyes. My drink did end up being remade but that interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. I also heard that the lead union organizer at this location was fire but that the store still won their union vote. Congratulations to the stuff for this amazing win. I would love to support this location more if it wasn’t for the manager tho

Used to work here. Unfortunately the manager is incompetent and is not fit to manage a Starbucks. He’s run out almost the entire staff and there’s no sign of improvements on the horizon. The store’s condition is not a result of unionizing; he was a driving factor FOR the store unionizing to begin with. Boycott this location until an actual leader is brought in here. What a shame.

Is SBUX mgt paying attention to this mess!!?? Used to be a great store but the manager has run it into the ground. Oak Park could use some help here. Hundreds of other stores in Chicago have gotten it right.

Got my drink right. Location is nice although on the small tight side, I really like their outdoor seating area tough. Folks here do their best but a bit more efficiency can achieved to make the lines move faster.
