Look forward to many more meals at this fabulous little place tucked in the middle of a shopping center Definite 10!!
The restaurant has increased prices drastically, removed basic items from their list (why did you ceap out on something as simple as bok choi?), began to charge for sample sizes of simple sauces you know they have tubs of, and can’t even be bothered to update their own menu on Google. They don’t even have a physical menu in-restaurant anymore. Now you have to scan a QR code to see whatever (still inaccurate) menu they have on offer.
All of the advertised menu prices are wrong and have been grossly inflated. For example, I used to be able to get a sushi burrito for $12 and add an appetizer dish to that entree for $3.50. Now you place an order and that same item is $16 plus an extra $8(!) for the addon of five or size tiny pieces of fried chicken. Keep in mind you are supposed to be getting this side order at a discount ($3-$5) when purchasing it as an addition. I don’t even know what they charge for sample cups of sauces they used to willingly give for free. (Update: It looks like it is a dollar or more per tiny cup. Enjoy folks…)
The ownership cannot even be bothered to update their own online menu with proper items and pricing, yet are obviously fine with falsely advertising prices to get people in the door on the chance they can lock in your money. You bring these discrepancies up to the staff and they seem to ignore it completely while rudely asking you if you want it or not. Garbage customer service.
The atmosphere and business this restaurant used to provide used to be great and was part of what you paid for. But that is long-gone. Even as a long time customer, I doubt I will ever be returning to Sushi Burrito until things change for the better. A great restaurant turned into a greater joke way quicker than I could have ever anticipated and it is just sad.
People who are new and still give this place good reviews have no idea of how much better and actually worthy of praise it used to be. Zen Ramen and Sushi Burrito has probably turned into the biggest disappointment I have ever experienced living in Cartersville as far as local businesses are concerned. I hope they can fix their ship before it sinks.
To say something nice about them: The food is good, atmosphere is decent but isn’t what it used be, the servers are nice, a d that is about it. Everything else has morphed into a parody of what is used to be and the ownership seems to not care about it all.
(TL;DR – While the food is decent, do NOT trust the online menu or it’s pricing whatsoever when ordering from this restaurant unless you want a very nasty surprise coupled with awful service (over the phone at least) while they completely ignore their own mistakes and disingenuous behavior). Do better for your customers’ sake guys…
Really enjoyed my ramen! The broth was excellent and I really enjoyed the noodles. One of the good quality taste and have thickness. The service what’s good? I mean most Orlando restaurants, you’re not going to get overly served like the American restaurant. That being said, the service was good. The atmostor was okay and kind of industrial
The Karachi chicken was very good and surprisingly. The potstickers are very good.
You weren’t quite sure what the sushi burrito would be like but it was very good. Kind of difficult to eat. Kind of like a huge hand roll. But it was good tasting. Really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely be back
