Not so crazy about this place, which was disappointing cos I’ve been reading great things about it. So what if the decor is dated, that doesn’t bother me, but it didn’t feel especially clean. Maybe being attached to a truck gas station is why. There was lots of clumps of dirt orator in the parking lot.

Stopped driving thru and so happy we did. It was packed, service was amazing. Our waitress, Evelyn was wonderful! Kind and caring. Then when I left I told the owners they had a wonderful restaurant and come to find out they were from my hometown.. extra bonus!

We wanted a mom and pop restaurant, I found this and was so happy I did the food was phenomenal and our waitress Carrie was just as great!!! We had the fried chicken dinner and the open faced roast beef. Both were sooooo good! Soups that come with the meal…great!! Ohh and the cheesecake YUMMMMMY!! Definitely a great stop on the old route 66!!! Wish I would have taken pics of the food!!

We tried a little bit of everything while we were here. And everything we had was just perfect. The desserts looked amazing, homemade and delicious. But by the time I was done I was too full and had to skip. But next time I will definitely try some. A great place to stop for breakfast if you’re on the road or just in the area.

We stopped in for dinner and the staff and food was great. They were packed and we still got seated and waited on immediately and the food came out quick and hot. We all enjoyed our food and prices were great. I would go back again.

I can’t believe I’ve not been to this local restaurant before. The staff was so lovely. They kept checking on my water. Very busy but still got our hot food fast and fresh. Try the cheesecake!

The truth is our server that day wasn’t great. We were sort of abandoned. Also my mom asked for a decaf coffee refill twice and never got it from the server. I hope it was an isolated incident. Regardless, the food is really good and nice-sized portions. The staff was friendly overall. I’ll visit again when I’m in Springfield.
