Really great place for a bit to eat. Very knowledgeable staff! The food we really good. Fries are excellent and the chicken sandwich excellent. The brisket was also good. (I have had Texas brisket and this was still very good!)

Awesome food, huge selection of local and international beer. Staff and kitchen are really attentive to a gluten free diet. Felt totally safe as a celiac eating here, fryers are dedicated gluten free, and all of the batters are gluten free. Smash burger was delicious on a gluten free bun, and the house made dipping sauces were excellent. When I went, they had Lucky Pigeon cans available, have had a gf burger and a gf pint out in so long!

We haven’t been to Standard Gastropub since our last visit to Maine in 2016. My wife and I really enjoyed the food and beer then but wondered if it survived the pandemic. Happily it’s still going strong in 2023! And I’m glad to report it’s gotten better with table service and new seating. The food is excellent and their beer selection is still second to none.

Stopped in for the first time the other night for an early dinner. Menu is rather small but we enjoyed what we had. Server was friendly but rather inattentive. Food was fresh and quite delicious. We’ll be back!

I had the small chicken bites, did not care for them at all! The french fries were amazing. They had no soda fountain drinks, sodas in a cooler, but unknown names to me. Very limited pub menu. My husband had the double gastro hamburger, he loved it. Staff was very nice but I just didn’t care for their food selections and it wasn’t cheap by any means. Oh yes and the Brussel Sprouts were amazing too!

Food and service were great! Love that it’s open later than other locations in town. Very cool wall of exposed coolers that really make the atmosphere. Also love that you can see into the kitchen, great transparency. Love the brunch menu as well as the standard menu. A real gem. Will be coming back!

Went here after hearing so many positive reviews from people renting our place and it did not disappoint! The food was good, the staff was attentive and friendly, the drink menu is extensive! I got to try new to me seltzers that were delicious! I enjoyed my burger and my group had Brussels sprouts, fried chicken, and the beet salad and everyone was satisfied with their meals! If I had any complaints it would be that the large fries were small in my opinion but they were tasty as was the homemade ketchup. I will definitely return!

So I’ve dined here once in person and ordered to go once. The in person experience was much better, but for the price the portion was pretty small. I wouldn’t say I was blown away flavor wise. I had an egg and vegetable bowl. For takeaway I ordered on the night they were offering Thai food. I was told when I dined in to check it out and it was very much hyped up since there is no other Thai in town. Unfortunately after paying $21 after tax for just one order of tofu pad Thai and waiting 30 minutes for pickup (understandable since it was busy), none of the vegetables were cooked (many raw onions) and I was trying to figure out why it tasted so bland. Then I realized they forgot to add peanuts, which is pretty much the signature for pad Thai. Very disappointing. Although the atmosphere is great in there, the food is lacking from what I have experienced and I don’t think I’ll be back.

Standard Gastropub was an awesome experience. They customized a dish for me because of my food allergy and it was delicous. The care they paid was fantastic. We were last there when the Thai pop up menu was available and it was a delicious and fun experience for me and my parents.

So I will start by saying we never got to the food portion of this gastropub. We were coming with a party if 8 there was enough seating inside but given the small size of the restaurant we asked to sit outside so that we didn’t take up the whole place (nobody else was eating outside so there was plenty of room). The woman serving came out and immediately set in with the worst attitude. I’m sure she had a rough day before we got there but it wasn’t our fault, so we just left. On our walk away she tried to sell us beers to go. Sorry. No .
