I entered this place when I was up at Columbia, California. I have to say it was an awesome experience. I didn’t know what to expect when I sat at the bar. It’s an old establishment that brings you back to the 1849 miner times. I close my eyes and imagine a shootout between outlaws and the saloon working in full with a piano going. Then I open my eyes to some beautiful women dressed for the part. The pizza was great. I ordered the other load, thought it was fitting for the time and the place. They probably didn’t have pizza back in the 1800s just a saloon full of outlaws and individuals looking for pay dirt. Either way I really enjoyed this place. The people were friendly. The staff was great on the music was on point. I will definitely be returning here.

We’ve been here so many times and this place is hands down our favorite pizza around. The cheesy breadsticks are delicious and they have really good ranch. It does get busy but I feel like they get the orders out quickly. We normally spend a few hours walking around Columbia and then grab pizza to go and it’s still delicious 45 minutes later. If you haven’t eaten here, please give it a try. Your life will forever be changed. Thank me later.

First time in Columbia, Ca. A local friend recommended the place. Ordered their chuck pizza, pulled pork pizza, artichoke bread sticks, sarsaparilla (love it!) and some blueberry or somethin seltzer! We love this place!

I make sure I stop here every time I’m in the area and in the mood for pizza! It’s definitely the best pizza around, served in a fun historic building! The staff is great and they dress the part of the Gold Rush time period. The beer menu is fantastic. Eating inside is great, but I recommend eating outside when the weather isn’t too hot in the summer or cold in the winter! It’s a must try!

Been coming to Columbus State Park for years and have had the pizza from St. Charles Saloon. Oh man, have I been missing out. The saloon is original and maintained just as it was built in 1856. From door entrance and knob, windows, bar counter, historical portraits, art work, vintage tools, animal head mounts, and our waitress was even wearing a semi-looking outfit from the era of Columbia’s start. I came with a friend to sample two variety of pizza around 11:00am. There was plenty of open free parking, few fellas there enjoying a beverage, and conversing. Plenty of open seats & tables. We each ordered a personal size pizza of their Chuck and Buffalo Chicken. The Chuck was my favorite. The crust was the right thickness, toasted right, balance amount of gooey mozzarella cheese, garlic ranch sauce, 3 kind of meats, and veggies. Amazing! They even sell sasparilla. After we left, many had started to come in. We came at a great time to avoid crowds and any wait time. I highly recommend and I’ll be back!

Best pizza I’ve had in California.
I have actually eaten here before, and it was good, but yesterday we stopped through after a hike nearby and ordered the prosciutto pizza (added pepporni). Also ordered the mini breadsticks with beer cheese. That was good, but this dang pizza! Stole the show.
It had the best crust, perfect flavor combination I’ve had on a pizza in a long time. I’m not even a huge pesto fan, and yet it just went perfectly.
My only complaint is I wasn’t as hungry as I’d liked to have been so I could have eaten more! But don’t worry, I took it home and air fried it back to life and let me tell you, it comes back great!
This will now be my “too afraid to try anything else because it’s now my favorite order at this place” order. Seriously. Go get this pizza and then thank me later!
The staff are great, quick, and attentive. They have great beers. Indoor and outdoor seating. Also, I’m an Ice Tea guy and not sure if it’s instant or brewed, but I really liked it!
I messed up the cheese pull video, but just look at it! Amazing!

The best pizza, sandwiches and calzones!! Many beer brands and a little wine. It’s in a 1800s building with a large wood burning stove for heat. There is a large bar to sit at with the locals. The atmosphere is loud and friendly. Usually packed at the peak dinner hour but the wait time is short if at all. Don’t go dressed up. This is very casual and ‘country’.

Some of the best pizza in the area. The crust is amazing and has a super good crisp and crunch. The pesto prosciutto pizza was one for the books. Come here and check out the great selection of unique pizzas. They have all sizes from personal to the larger family sizes. Many other food options that also sounded really good.
