Family Dinner
We met my husband for dinner on the north side. I don’t think I’ve been to Sportscasters since I was in my twenties! Seated right away but it was a packed house and there was only one person on the floor. It was around 25 minutes to take our order but once it was in the food came out quickly.
The childrens loved the apps, Mozzarella Sticks and Onion Chips, plus their fries! Neither cared for their entree, Cheeseburger and Chicken Strips. I got a Grilled Cheese and Curly Fries that were both yummy plus a really nice Salad that even included fresh mushrooms! My husband got some wings which were barely sauced but ended up sampling a bit of everything. Food was flying out left and right. Super popular place!

The best chicken philly in town! This place is always busy on a Friday or Saturday night. If you are looking for a nice neighborhood bar but with great service and great food, this place is it but it gets pretty packed because it’s so amazing.

A local sports bar and grill that also has fantastic food and service (our server Emalee was on top of things!). We got the Caesar salad and crispy chicken sandwich and both were so delicious. Parking was plentiful, and the music wasn’t too loud.

Love this place, so many TVs so you’ll never miss a moment of the game! Food is always consistent, good and relatively cheap. My go to is one of the burgers. Some times it definitely gets pretty busy and may take a little longer but it’s a great local neighborhood bar!

This is a place I usually get good food at but today was a disappointment. I ordered a BLT which at other restaurants are usually amazing so I thought I would try this place. When I ordered it, I made a point to ask the waitress if it comes with a good amount of bacon. I usually when ordering BLT’s to ask for extra bacon. She assured me that it comes with a lot of bacon. Great! When I received my sandwich it not only DID NOT have a lot of bacon, the bacon was crumbs like you put on a salad and very little.
Future references do not order their BLT’s if you want strips of bacon and a good amount!

We went for a late dinner and thought since kitchen was open for a couple more hours there would not be a problem. Nachos were ice cold just like wait staff and bartender.

I recently visited Sportscasters during a particularly busy period and was generally impressed with the experience. Our server, Tiffany, was absolutely wonderful. Despite the rush, she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Matt was also quick with our beverage service, which was much appreciated. The food prepared by Walker also seemed to come out in a timely manner, which was impressive given how busy it was.
Jackie, who appeared to be the manager on duty, seemed to be running a tight shift, which kept things moving. However, I did observe some instances where communication between the bar and the serving staff seemed a little strained. Perhaps improving this flow of information could make the service even smoother.
Overall, my experience at Sportscasters was positive, largely due to the excellent service from Tiffany and Matt, and the efficient work of the cook, Walker. My only suggestion would be for management to ensure clear communication channels are open between all staff and to remember that servers are working hard and doing their best, especially during busy times. I would definitely consider returning to Sportscasters.
