First visit. In town for Dutch Wonderland. Only a mile or two away. Great family owned restaurant with outside dining near the creek.

We had a lovely evening at the Conestoga Restaurant. It was a gift to a family member to go eat wherever they wished. We ended up on the deck by the Conestoga River on a beautiful evening. Our waitress Shy was fabulous. The food was excellent. The crab cakes impressed. What really got my attention and I couldn’t stop eating were the fresh cut fries! Usually I find fresh cut fries bland. But these had flavor. We will definitely be back. And I have already shared our experience with some friends with the intention of taking them to the Conestoga Restaurant soon!

Nice atmosphere, Great food, different vibe. Went the other day with a friend who grabbed a burger. I was expecting Americana by the name, but was surprised with Greek once I took a look over the menu. I had the Gyro platter for something different, and was pleasantly surprised with some awesome food. Everything was fresh and the Tzatziki sauce was very refreshing. Everything came out great and our server was doing the best she could. The server was also the bartender and balancing the two wasn’t easy on her, but she did good. I hope this place can keep it up! Definitely worth a stop for something different.

This is only kind of a review for the Conestoga as a restaurant oh, it’s mostly a review for the Conestoga as a venue. I had the rapturous Delight of attending the Vixxen Drag Brunch.

Often overlooked because it’s been around for so long. It wasn’t part of the recent blume of places opening in the last 15 years. But the Conestoga has been offering modestly priced amazing food with great drinks for decades now. I remember when Lancaster county had 1000 diners a few chains like 3 places worth eating at. The Conestoga has stood the test of time you should check it out.

Food was great. We had the crab dip which was served with pita chips and my husband had the meatloaf. Gotta say I am super picky on meatloaf because I make a mean one myself but I tried his and it was really good. Next trip I would get the meatloaf . Note closed on Monday & Tuesday and bring your appetite.

We were passing through and searched for restaurants near us. We saw the Conestoga was less then a mile away. We’ve never heard of it but thought to give it a try and was very pleasantly surprised! We were enamored by how historic this building is… from the 1700’s, but modern! It was beautiful and clean inside, but we sat outside, which was also clean, in view of the creek. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The weather was perfect that day! The restrooms did need a little TLC, but what I saw could’ve been solved with a bigger, open trash can instead of a swing top. People tend to let their paper towels either sit on top or fall to the ground. I’d recommend the Conestoga and will definitely be back if we are in town again.

Everything was great, except for the heat inside. Lol I know it’s difficult to midogate temps from the cooks area to the patrons! Your cooks have to be frying! It was pretty warm near the dessert bar. Other than that, great wait staff, food and experience!

Their french onion soup and Maryland crab soup were delicious. The rest of what we ordered left a lot to be desired. The calamari was rubbery and could have been fried a little longer. My nephew’s pastisio was burnt, my chicken francaise was not what I expected and the burgers were just OK.
