Riverside Pizza & Pub is a family owned and operated neighborhood pizzeria, restaurant and bar originally established in St. Charles, Illinois in 2014. The vision was to create a scratch kitchen with unique spins on classic dishes, complemented by craft beer, cocktails, and a robust wine selection – a modern spin on a classic pizzeria. A few friends joined the team and opened the South Elgin location in 2016, followed by Batavia in 2019 and Oswego in 2021. The concepts follow the same principles of creating a warm and inviting experience built on approachable, tasty food and beverages that people can come back to time and time again. We look forward to serving you, your family and friends in the Western suburbs of Chicago for years to come.

Edit: 2/4/25 FANTASTIC Chicago style pizza. Returned later after pizza carry out. Ordered the Bruscetta to go. WHERE’S THE CHEESE? I’m not a fan. Doesn’t Bruschetta normally have fresh mozzarella? C’mon, guys, ya dropped the ball on this one.
Edit: Had the chicken parm on my second visit. Great place to meet girlfriends for lunch. Excellent service.
Seems like a fun place. It was hoppin! I am extremely happy with the service. Loud but to be expected with the warehouse acoustics, so no big deal. Ordered carry out pizza, arrived early, and was able to sit at the vast bar until my order was ready. There is plenty of bar seating and high tables to accommodate many. Nice variety of food options from pasta to chicken parm. Highly recommend. CLEAN front of the house which tells me they’re meticulousin the kitchen as well. Cordial bartenders and wait staff. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back! Excellent thin crust pizza! Tasty sauce. Cannot reiterate enough, VERY GOOD pizza!
Once we finally got seated, I knew this wasn’t going to be a smooth experience. They completely skipped asking how I wanted my burger cooked, which is a major red flag. We started with the nachos, and honestly, they were a bit of a mess. Some of the chips were burnt, and the toppings weren’t evenly distributed.
The burger itself was decent, I guess. Nothing to write home about. But the fries? Oh man, those were a disaster. They tasted old and definitely had been reheated. And just like the nachos, some were burnt to a crisp.
The final straw was the kids’ Mac and Cheese. They used nacho cheese! Seriously? Who does that?
Overall, we were pretty disappointed with our experience at Riverside. The service was slow, the food was inconsistent, and some of it was just plain bad. I wouldn’t recommend it.
I had the balsamic chicken salad, my significant other had the shrimp plate. Both were outstanding and good value.
Nick took super great care of us.
Surprised that pizzas are half-price on Tuesdays and Left Hand Milk Stout beer was super-cheap since Happy Hour.
ORIGINAL: Trying some fun local places for carry-out for our staycation. Starting here!
We ordered a southwest salad, as well as a personal (10″) vegetarian pizza. Ready right on time; the pizza was still very hot. I love the spiciness of the chipotle dressing for the salad. My husband loves the big pieces of veggies on the pizza so you can actually taste them.
Both were delicious with a generous amount of toppings. We’ll be back!
