I was in town and decided to stop by for a meal. The food was quite nice, some of the better vegetarian I’ve had in Pittsburgh. Views were lovely, although they were a bit busy at sunset.

We put ourselves in the capable and friendly hands of our server, Christopher. We tried the lychee martini, the blue crab beignets & Charleston pickled shrimp appetizers. Very well balanced with flavors, and the presentation was on point. The main courses were very well flavored, and the sizes are very good. The dessert, Creme Brulee was absolutely wonderful. I have always enjoyed my time here!

This was my 3rd time there and we had lunch. I say skip lunch and try dinner or brunch instead. The 1st 4 pictures are from lunch.
The lunch menu was limited and not impressive. I had a lox sandwich and the bagel was clearly thawed from frozen and not fresh. I was disappointed.
My husband and my mom didn’t enjoy their food either.
The place is beautiful and has good views.
Brunch and dinner were awesome!

Great atmosphere! Beautiful glassed in outdoor patio, swanky indoor space, and a wrap-around bar with comfortable seating. The servers were sweet and attentive and the VEGAN OPTIONS WERE AMAZING!!! I knocked one star because the cocktails were average. They could have a more creative list that would add to the ambience of the space. My bf and I went here for my bday dinner and I’m happy we came here!

I loved the vibe of the restaurant and of course the location.
It’s kind of rooftop restaurant and you have great views anywhere you sit in the restaurant.
We had a chance to sit on the balcony and it was great(I know now is winter, we went when the weather was nice), but still you can go to the balcony and have drinks.
The food and desserts are really delicious and definitely like it.

Spirits & Tales is a great place for a view of the University of Pittsburgh. We started off with cocktails and the octopus appetizer. I ordered the crab ravioli and my husband got the half chicken. Both were tasty but nothing I would come back for a second time. The cocktails were delicious with a wide variety including seasonal special and cocktails. I would go back again for cocktails or brunch but not for dinner.

Horrible experience. 930am on a Friday. Only about 10 tables. Most occupied, though several not. Table I was offered was in full glaring morning sun. I said, is that the only one available. Yes I was told. I said I’d just sit at the bar? Was told there was no bartender (I was looking to eat, not drink, and was in the same basic space) so they wouldn’t let me sit there.
Guest at the hotel. Tried to see the menu, but only a portion available with the QR code supplied – true for all menus throughout the day.
Worse service than a Waffle House with exorbitant prices and worse service!
Had a lovely breakfast burrito on nearby Forbes St for $6

We had a wonderful time here. Super tasty breakfast, probably one of the better places in Oakland. Awesome view. Very friendly staff.
Got the S&T breakfast, honestly from the eggs to the potatos, the sausages and dips, just felt like fine dining experience. Super delicious, will come again.

Had a great experience with dinner and drinks. No wait for a table of 2, we had two cocktails each and they were all fantastic, the seasonal pecan pie martini, the purple rain was very refreshing and the could be loved (is that the name?) were all good. The grilled octopus was super tender and all the sauces that it came with were amazing, the branzino did have some bones that were tricky but great flavor, nicely cooked. We had desserts and both the cheesecake (not too sweet -authentic basque style!) and the creme brulee were delicious.

The salon I work at had our Christmas Party here and I absolutely loved everything about this place. From the food, the view, the vibes, and top tier service! They had a menu with our company logo on it and what was on the menu. The lighting was awesome! I had their mocktails, which were so tasty! The 12 oz NY Strip was made to perfection with the creamy spinach, so delicious! Dessert I had the Butterscotch Red Pudding, I recommend you try…chefs kiss!! Perfect date night spot, very romantic vibe! I will definitely be back!!
