The service was more self serve, you order at the front and they bring food to the table that is the extent of it. This is the reason for the 4.
The atmosphere was off the hook and extremely nostalgic.
This is definitely a place we will be back to.
For drinks, I tried both the Sweater Weather (Bourbon/Cider) and the S’more for me. Both were delicious, creative, and remarkably reasonably priced ($12) for Nashville. The S’more drink actually comes with a toasted marshmallow, which fits the vibe perfectly.
The only slight miss was the Truffle Shuffle Fries. Visually they looked great, but the truffle flavor was a bit too strong/overpowering for my palate. Next time, I’d stick to the regular fries or onion rings, but I will absolutely be back for that burger and the cocktail list.
The flavor is both indescribable & irresistible; blowing every other burger I’ve ever had out of the water with ease. After the first bite my soul transcended. Time slowed down & the collage art that filled the room, accompanied by the ambient 80’s rock music, washed over me as I melted into my chair. I had to ask the waiting staff if the food had been spiked with some sort of narcotic & if I would be able to drive home. This must be what it was like when Squidward tried his first Krabby Patty.
While the state of Tennessee froze over, I kept walking to my window wondering if I could walk the 30 miles to Cledis. Never did I question if it would be worth it, only if my body could survive the trek. Even then, I know facing death would be well worth the reward.
Aside from the best burger ever, I also tried the truffle fries & raspberry chipotle wings. Both were well up to par with the portion size & flavor, but I could’ve used just a bit more sauce with the wings. I’m also a staunch ketchup with fries guy, but those truffle fries were so good I couldn’t blaspheme them by adding sauce.
All in all it was a fantastic meal that was overshadowed by the legendary BlackBerry Smoke Burger, which I will have 3 upon my next visit. Everyone I come into contact with will know the name Cledis & I will be returning here every chance I get. 10/10.
The Cledis Burger no American cheese and pepper jack and hard eggs was also very good.
We had a side of onion rings with Raspberry Chipotle and Bandito sauce.
Very good food and atmosphere.
5 out of 5 stars.
I mean where do I start?! I had the place listed while on vacation in Nashville and after a few bad meals in town i almost cancelled my visit to cledus burger. Instead I pushed through and went anyway.
We arrived shortly after opening and the staff was very friendly. I didn’t know what wanted and the cashier was very patient and understanding. She never made me feel rushed and was very helpful.
Even though they just opened everything on the menu was available with no restrictions.
We went on Tuesday so we ordered the Tuesday tenderloin sandwich, the cledis burger, and the ghost rider.
I expected to get a tiny tenderloin sandwich because the product is never as big as advertised. But that wasn’t the case here. The sandwich was huge and you could have used two buns for this bad boy. It was hot, crispy, juicy, and very well
Seasoned. Everything I could have asked for.
The cledis burger was for the kids but they loved it and it was also hot and fresh.
Then comes the ghost rider. Man that thing was delicious. Again hot, and fresh, well seasoned and all the flavors worked together. I mean the sauce was absolutely delicious with the grilled onions. After the first bite I had to close my eyes and cherish the moment.
These folks know how to make a burger and deliver hospitality that’s unmatched. Everyone was friendly, food was above expectations, and space was old school cool. Absolutely recommend anyone in the area to stop by. Even go out of your way to try this food
