I had a very bad experience with the frozen raw meat from Spices of India. The meat smelled bad, looked old, and showed signs of poor freezing and storage. Even after cooking, it tasted off.

After eating it, I got sick. This is not healthy food, and it’s very concerning that raw meat is being sold in this condition. I do not recommend buying frozen meat from here. Be very careful.

We decided to try Spices of India and we were not disappointed! EVERY DISH came out served fresh and hot. We ordered Butter Chicken & Chicken Tikki Masala and chicken Biriyana and the vegetable eggroll and chicken eggroll and everything was delicious. Will definitely be coming back. The picture shows that nothing was left behind.

Spice of India Restaurant (Kerala Restaurant in Dallas):

Spice of India is hands down one of the best Kerala restaurants I’ve experienced, not just in Dallas but anywhere in USA itself. The food here is truly authentic and captures the distinct flavors of Kerala cuisine, which is very different from the more common North Indian dishes most people in the U.S. associate with Indian food.

The chef clearly puts an incredible focus on quality and authenticity. Every dish feels like it’s crafted with care, transporting you straight back to the flavors and memories of Kerala. From the use of traditional spices to the cultural touches in preparation, the food here is rich, flavorful, and deeply connected to Kerala’s heritage.

If you want to experience what real Kerala food is about—beyond the usual “Indian food” most Americans know—this is the place I’d highly recommend. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a cultural experience. Totally worth it, whether you’re from Kerala and craving a taste of home or simply curious to explore one of India’s most unique and flavorful regional cuisines.

Absolutely Exceptional Indian Dining Experience!
I recently had the pleasure of organizing a team dinner at Spices Of India Kitchen – Restaurant & Catering, and I can wholeheartedly say it was a phenomenal experience that left every single person raving! This isn’t just a meal; it’s a true culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of India.
From the moment we started ordering, we knew we were in for a treat. We sampled a wide array of dishes, and each one was an absolute standout. The Lamb Biryani was fragrant and perfectly cooked, easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Classics like Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala were rich, creamy, and undeniably authentic, pairing perfectly with the fresh, soft Garlic Naan.
For appetizers, the Chicken 65 was spicy and addictive, and the Chicken Spring Rolls and Chicken Cutlet were fantastic, flavorful bites. A special shout-out must go to the Beef Fry and Parotta—a delicious, savory, and truly authentic combination that was a huge hit at our table.
What impressed us most, beyond the incredible flavor, was the commitment to quality and quantity. The spice level was spot-on, perfectly balancing heat and flavor without overwhelming the palate. And the portions were so generous that we literally couldn’t finish everything! We happily left with takeaway boxes, which just meant we got to enjoy the delicious leftovers the next day.
If you’re looking for an authentic, delicious, and high-quality Indian dining experience, whether for a team event, a family meal, or catering, look no further than Spices Of India Kitchen. Excellent food, authentic taste, and huge portions—they’ve earned every bit of this glowing review. We will absolutely be back!

As a Malayali, having Kerala food after a long time made me really happy. The porotta and beef were amazing, and the chicken biryani and chicken curry were also very tasty. Everything tasted just like home. The people there were very kind and friendly. I really loved this place. ❤️

Good – ****
It is a small restaurant in Irving. We were looking for a kerala restaurant near DFW Airport and most of them were closed so found this. Thalassery Biriyani was the special of the day and along with that we ordered Kappa, Red Fish Curry, Porotta and Beef Fry for 3 people. The flavor was really good and there was good quantity. Loved it.
