Hi guys I visited Spice Nation restaurant in Clyde North with couple of friends for lunch on Thursday last week.
Well I must say the restaurant has a good ambiance and presents well. The female staff on day was really nice and had good customer service skills 5 stars to her.
We ordered 3 serves of Bhature Cholle, extra serve of cholle and a jug of salted lassi. It didn’t take much long for our food to come out.
Well the presentation of the food was really good and cholle were made really well and tasted great, however the bhature missed the mark, the texture of the Bhature was dense, firm and they were thick. I recommend the chef to make the dough for Bhature early and let it ferment bit longer. Salted lassi was good but I’ve definitely had better Salted lassies at other places.
Overall the experience was good. I would like to come back and try other things from their food menu let’s see.
On my second visit, I tried the malahwe chicken with cheese Naan, the chicken was overly soft and meal had lots of onions and very oily. I think the main ingredient for this meal is onions, but that wasn’t listed on the menu.
Right from childhood I never liked onions and always picked them out, as I did same in this.
The meal was tasty and remained hot, even as ordered as a take home.
I might try something else on my next visit.
We ordered garlic & cheese naan, chilli naan, lachcha paratha, and pizza naan — and every single item was unique and packed with flavor. Nothing tasted repetitive or generic. Each bread had its own distinct taste and was cooked perfectly.
For mains, we tried the Patiala Paneer (Chef Special) and Kadai Kofta — both were exceptional. The quality was top-notch, rich in flavor, and clearly prepared with attention to detail.
One thing that really stood out: most Indian restaurants serve lachcha paneer that’s undercooked or raw in the center. That wasn’t the case here. Everything was properly cooked, balanced, and genuinely delicious. No shortcuts.
Service was on time, food arrived without unnecessary delay, and the overall experience was smooth.
The only small suggestion would be adding soft background music to enhance the dine-in ambience — but that’s not even a real complaint.
Overall: 11 out of 10. Highly recommended.
