Great food but severely understaffed and slow service.
There’s not a single bad dish out of everything I’ve had here. Everything tasted fresh and delicious!
The only downside about this place is the slow service. Sometimes you have to wait for 45 minutes to get seated, then another 45-60 minutes to get your food. If you’re in a hurry, this place is not a good option.
I used to go here quite often but have started going less frequent now due to the long wait. Until they hire more staff to get the service going, I likely won’t be returning.

BBH was 6.5/10
They have banh beo which not a lot of places do
Wings could have been crispier todsy but good flavor. 8.5/10
Satay pork 8/10
The server seemed nice and a sweet gal but needs better training. Keep tea and water filled take empty dishes with you when leaving etc. should could jave saved herself a few trips. She couldn’t answer any of my questions about the dishes. Didnt understand basic serving nuances.
It was so cold in there and drafty windows. Had to wear my jacket.
The tea was always lukewarm not matter how many times it was refilled.
Food is tasty and great otherwise.
The small restaurant was half full and the crammed all of us in the far corner so i couldnt talk as freely as i wanted.

Food is tasty here. They’re known for their Bun Bo Hue. It’s really tasty. Wish they put pig’s blood jelly in there though. Bun Rieu was also very tasty. We used to not come here because the wait time was usually quite long. This hasn’t been the case in the last free visits so glad to be able to come even for a quick lunch.

Went to Renton Bistro. Ordered their grilled pork vermicelli bowl with fish sauce and my husband got the egg noodle stir fried with tofu. My sister got the steamed rice cake and my brother got the rice with charbroiled pork with fried egg and veggies. Super delicious and very fresh tasting. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy! Also, outstanding customer service!!! Highly recommended!!! Love love love it !!!

I stumbled upon Renton Bistro on a whim, and wow – this hidden gem really surprised me. It’s literally tucked inside a cute old house, so stepping inside felt like walking into a cozy home. With its warm wood interiors and Vietnamese decor, it instantly reminded me of a little spot back in Saigon. We tried a few dishes and each one was fantastic. The Nem Cuốn (fresh spring rolls) were light and crisp, filled with fresh herbs and nem nướng, perfect for a starter. The Bún Bò Huế (spicy beef noodle soup) was my favorite – the broth was nice and light, not greasy, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. We also had the Cơm Sườn (grilled pork with rice), which came with juicy, well-seasoned pork chops and a side of pickled veggies. Every bite was delicious and savory, and you could tell everything was made fresh. The food here strikes the perfect balance between being flavorful and comforting without feeling heavy.
On top of the great food, the service was impressively fast and friendly.
All in all, Renton Bistro is a fantastic find. I would definitely go back, and I’m already looking forward to trying more from their menu.

Great food but very poorly staffed and not the best service. Waited 40 minutes for two bowls of noodles and the steam rice cakes. Waited 15 min after being seated for water.
When the food did come, it was delicious though.

Have been here before, but today left a bad taste in my mouth. Ordered shrimp and crab meat tapioca noodle and there were only 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 specks of crab. What a rip off for $18. Going to dispute this charge with my credit card company as the servers could not care less.

You can expect high quality food here, as indicated by the long line that it seems to have every evening. I recommend the house special dishes the most including the Vietnamese crepes and steamed rice cakes, although the rice dishes are great as well. Unfortunately, the service is some of the worst I’ve experienced; unfriendly and inattentive are words that come to mind. It’s not an especially comfortable place to enjoy dinner, either. This is one of those places that’s probably better for pickup than it is for dine in.

Had an incredible dining experience here. Small and unassuming from the outside, but felt very welcoming and warm inside. Service was awesome. Food was spectacular, some of the best Vietnamese cuisine I’ve had in the Seattle area. Worth adventuring down to Renton for and I will be back!
