Ordered delivery from Shoulder Spice Restaurant, and the food was fantastic. The Dilkush Chicken was the highlight—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with rich flavor that held up beautifully even in a delivery order. The Goat Roast Biryani had amazing depth and aroma, with well‑balanced spices and flavorful goat pieces that made every bite satisfying. Everything arrived hot, neatly packed, and full of fresh, bold taste. Definitely one of the best delivery meals I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!

We ordered Haleem to-go on Feb 20th, 2026. It was more of Daleem (All Dals and no Mutton at all). One of the worst Haleems I ever had. I have been going on Haleem Spree in NJ and this one is the worst. Some small restaurants are making good Haleem and didnt expect Southern Spice to flop like this on Haleem. Of course I love their Dilkush Biryani and Juicy Mandi but pls stay away from Haleem from this place.

Ulavacharu Paneer Biryani is good & methi chaman is amazing.

Got to know about this place very recently and heard good reviews about their mandi. Tried both Goat and chicken mandi and I must say their goat mandi was the best. Half and full portions are available so we ordered one half goat and one full chicken which was more than enough for 5 people. If you’re a mutton lover I’d suggest you to try their goat mandi, both the mandis are same just that the meat changes. For chicken they have provided a whole chicken tandoori over the rice which was ok. Decent dine inn with Good service.
So, one half goat mandi and one full chicken mandi costed us $154. Felt it was bit expensive, not sure if this’s the regular price or just here as this was my first time having mandi here in USA.

Southern Spice is a fantastic restaurant that truly captures the rich flavors of Southern Indian cuisine. The dishes are authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. Their catering service is also excellent, providing delicious, well-prepared dishes for events and gatherings. Overall, Southern Spice offers a delightful culinary experience that I highly recommend!

I visited here for the first time on our way to a movie and I am in love with the food here.
Butter chicken and butter naan was simply super, very tasty and fresh.
We had southern spice special chicken biryani and Ulavacharu mutton biryani.
I even liked the southern spice special chicken biryani, the chicken is crispy and biryani is well done and medium spicy. Raitha and salan worked together beautifully to the biryani.
Ulavacharu mutton biryani was not my choice and my friends enjoyed that.
By the end of the meal we were definitely planning our next visit for Thursday special unlimited dosa buffet

We frequently order their Ghee roast mutton biryani which tastes really good but our last experience was horrible. On Dec 31st night we ordered a takeout of family pack goat biryani along with 2 appetizers and we were totally disappointed with the family pack tray size and the quantity they gave. I don’t know if it’s because of the rush they have during holiday season but they reduced the tray size to the smallest size which hardly fed 2 people and the biryani portion was very less plus the taste was not good that night.They charge $48.99 for family pack but it is not worth this time for the quantity they gave. It would have been better if we ordered 4 single biryani’s for the same price instead of family pack. Even the karivepaku kodi vepudu quantity was only half full in the to-go box. We recommended this place to many of our friends thinking they are maintaining the standards but from our recent experience we now are hesitant to order again from this place. Hoping the management will address the issue.

Ordered chicken Mandi and Chicken 65 from this restaurant. Both the items tasted very average and were not great at all. I would say it’s worth it to try one time to taste their chicken Mandi. Large chicken tandooris in Mandi were the highlight and tasted well outside and bland inside. Attached menu and pics for your reference.

Had Ordered Goby Manchurian and a Paneer Sub Looking Sandwich but with Naan instead of Bread (Indians will understand this) (look for Picture for exact details)
Goby Manchurian was crispy and Nice and oh man only 1 Paneer Roll Sub was quite enough for me to fill the stomach.
You should definitely try those two.
