My wife and I had heard good things about the food a Southern Smackerz and were looking forward to checking it out for dinner. I got the catfish, fries and potato salad. My wife got shrimp with okra and tots. The owner also blessed us with a sample of bbq pulled pork to try. The food flavors were definitely the star of our visit. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing, and the portions were huge. I appreciated the upbeat music they were playing and the welcoming staff as well.
Overall it was a great experience. We’re looking forward to eating there again soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food is always hot and fresh to order. Most definitely my favorite place in town to get catfish. The dining room is small, and not a great drink selection. I normally get it to go. But have eaten there a few times while meeting a friend. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The owner is a great guy with a funny personality.

First time visit. Ordered the shrimp poboy & a side of catfish to try. Also got my kids both chicken tender kids meals.
Everything was a 10/10. Shrimp poboy was spot on. I haven’t had catfish that good in years, and definitely not in Indiana. I was expecting the typical cheap frozen chicken tenders you get from most places but these tenders were delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned. It smelled so good when we got to the car that I couldn’t wait til we got home & started digging in.
We will be back for sure! There are so many other things on the menu that I want to try!

Originally was planning lunch somewhere else that turned out being closed. We googled places to eat and Southern Smackerz popped up. We figured, why not? Walking in, we were greated by a friendly woman who was down to earth. The atmosphere was was very layed back and walls/decorations full of uplifting sayings. Tyrone brought us out some of their Smack Sauce to try, a MUST HAVE! The food was delicious- amazing flavor, not greasy, cooked perfectly. The crew was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. So glad our original dinning plans fell through. We will definitely be back again!

Me and my husband just came in for lunch. He ordered the Philly steak and I had a bacon cheeseburger with chicken tenders and greens. He said it was the best Philly steak he’s ordered at a restaraunt and my food was great also. Them greens had just the right amount of seasonings. We will be back. Thanks again.
