We love coming to Southern Magnolia! The best coffee shop around! My favorite is definitely the Anna with cold foam. Their staff is always so friendly and you can tell that they genuinely love working there. The atmosphere in the shop is relaxed and inviting and the kids room is set up with lots of fun things to entertain the kids! SoMag really has become such a big part of the Bunn community. I love that there are so many local artisans represented in their shop – soaps, lotions, candles, pottery, jewelry, clothes, etc It always makes me smile seeing the coffee sleeves that the Bunn elementary students decorate at Christmas time! The read-alouds for the kids at Christmas and Easter are always a big hit (especially when it’s local cops who are reading to the kids!) It’s a fantastic local business to support!

What a special little bright spot in Bunn, NC. This coffee shop is so refreshing. The quality of goods they offer are top of the line. The employees are all so sweet and are all about meeting the needs and wishes of the customer. It’s a very well run operation. The atmosphere inside is quaint and set up so well so that you can share a coffee and snack with friends and yet quiet enough to do Bible study, computer or school work.
Thank you to the owners/managers for gifting Bunn and the surrounding communities with such a place of enjoyment. We will certainly be regular customers!! ❤️

After posting my original review below, I was personally contacted by the owner using the phone number I had provided for the shop’s rewards program. I did not give my number directly to the owner, and being contacted in this way made me uncomfortable. I contacted Square afterward and was advised that customer contact information is intended for limited business purposes, not for personal follow-up related to reviews. I have reported the situation and asked that my information be removed.
I am adding this update for transparency, as it affected my experience further after leaving the shop.

We will not be returning.
My daughter and I had made this coffee shop part of our weekly routine. On this visit, I ordered an iced mocha for my 10-year-old and a mocha latte for myself. I asked that the iced drink be very light on ice. When it was handed to me, it was filled with ice.
The young blonde employee who rang me up and made the drink argued that it was correct. I calmly asked if it could be remade, and she agreed. When I returned to the counter, the drink was nearly the same. I then asked to speak with a manager.
Another young employee immediately became argumentative and told me she was the owner’s daughter. I explained that the drink was still incorrect and that arguing with a customer was unnecessary. At that point, she became very upset and loudly told us to leave while my daughter and I were gathering our things.
This happened in front of my child and made her extremely uncomfortable and upset. We left without further incident, but the interaction was inappropriate and escalated far beyond what was necessary over a simple drink remake.
Because of the way the situation was handled, and the events that followed afterward, we will not be returning.

There’s always a great vibe here. I live in Youngsville but I’m more than willing to make that drive to hang out there. It’s a great atmosphere to read or work on something or just meet a friend to chat. They have a separate room for kids to play in with toys and it’s genius. They always have cute items throughout the store for purchase. Sometimes I go just to check out what they have put out that’s new. Love this place ❤️

I go here all the time and I love it! The service is fast and everyone is so friendly! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy. This is my book club’s favorite place to meet! They are always wonderful to us! I have never had anything to eat or drink there that I didn’t love. I also love their specialty drink menus! 10/10!!

Somag Coffee is more than just great coffee – it’s community. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff always remembers you. My husband meets there for men’s Bible study and will make the 20 minute drive to bring me my favorite drink at work! That says it all!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The people and coffee are amazing! The customer service was exactly what it needed to be!! The barista that made my drink was extremely nice and the drink was so freaking delicious!! Couldn’t get better!!
