Absolutely love this place. I love finding local favorites and this is definitely a winner. I’ve eaten pizza on my past visits but this trip we happened to be there on a Friday ‘steak night only’. At first, I was disappointed because I love their pizza (pepperoni, pineapple and jalapenos) but the owner told us we would not be disappointed in the rib eyes. She did not mislead. We shared a steak, loaded tater, mixed veggies and bread and even had leftovers! Great atmosphere, service and food. Bon appetite!

Came here on Sunday. They had football on the TV, and my Houston Texans were on, great start! The owner, Dan, was awesome. He took excellent care of us. I had the burger, and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had, so juicy and seasoning was spot on, perfect med rare. The cheesteak was amazing too, my wife had that. Onion rings and fries are excellent. Beers and drinks were good too. I have zero complaints. Fresh local homecooked foods in the middle of nowhere 10,000 ft up, can’t beat that! You have to stop here if you are in Alma or passing thru, you won’t be disappointed. I hope we come back again one day. I will be craving that burger.

Read about this place on the Only in Your State newsletter last year, and we thought it would be a fun place to visit, but we didn’t make it last year. This year was perfect timing for lunch. Busy place. Apparently, for the selfies and the food. The summer salad, patty melt and ruben were great! And I’m not a patty melt person. Good beer selection.

Amazing pizza and great, chill atmosphere! Lovely little local spot. We try to snag a pizza and beer here before heading out to camp and it always hits the spot. We always do the choose your own toppings with pepperoni, sausage, and green olives and they are pretty heavy handed with the toppings. Love the staff and the clientele are always equally as great.

Mary was our bartender! She was fun and spirited! I could have fun partying there with her as bartender! Had Arugula Burger and BLT. Took it with us to nearby Montgomery Reservoir for a picnic. That burger was “possibly the best burger I’ve ever had!” according to my husband and I have to agree! Generous portions are given, French Fries are on point and onion rings incredible and my BLT was amazing!

This little place has epic food!! I was a little weary to try it. Hands down the best steak and cheese I have eaten, made with a Tri tip daily. It was served with fresh hand cut fries and au jus on the side. I also had the house sales await him home made ranch. The pizza was made with hand tossed high altitude style crust. My wife said it was one of the best crusts she has had. Mary was an awesome bartender/ server. Good beer good food good service.

Don’t let the Hamm’s fool you – although I love a $3 Hamm’s. Dan and team know how to run a local place that tourists feel welcome at. You can tell they love food and good Ingredients that leads to quality food and flavor. Their drink menu is solid as well – try the Espresso Martini is one of the best out there. Give it a go!
