And it waa delicious. Not only did she make our drinks but she went above and beyond to come outside and try to set the cozy atmosphere for us with the fireplaces.
Heather also was very nice. The Chocolate products are great we got the poppyseed muffin 3/5 and the the cinnamon muffin 5/5 and the chocolate chip cookie was a 4/5
Their dark mocha was a definet 5/5 with the included chocolate spoon
Stop over for some chocolates or ice cream after your meal. Great way to finish your visit.
This shouldn’t be happening in 2025. If you do not have staff to help run your shop, children should not be filling in that role. They are not workers. They were sweet as pie, and I tipped both of them, but they shouldn’t be there. And they’re not even getting paid! I don’t believe children should be working in any restaurant or shop at that age, but especially not to do the actual labor (like ringing people up and making coffees!) that you are charging customers for. That’s not fair to those kids or the customers.
What the heck happened to child labor laws?
If you’re looking for a place that feels like home the minute you walk in, the local coffee, chocolate, and ice cream shops in our small town absolutely deliver. Beyond the delicious treats and cozy atmosphere, it’s the people behind the counters that make these places truly special.
The Coffee Shop:
The baristas greet you like you’re an old friend, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. They’re genuinely happy to be there — no fake smiles or forced greetings. They ask about your day, remember your favorite drink, and even suggest new seasonal specials tailored to your taste. The staff is fast, knowledgeable about their brews, and never make you feel rushed, even during the morning rush. There’s a sincerity here that’s rare: you can tell they care about getting it right and making you feel welcome.
The Chocolate Store:
Walking into the chocolate shop is like stepping into a cozy, sweet-smelling world where kindness is just as abundant as cocoa. The staff here is exceptional at making you feel like a VIP. They offer free samples with no pressure to buy, happily answer questions about ingredients and even offer pairing suggestions if you mention you’re buying for a special event. Their patience and friendliness turn what could be a quick stop into a memorable experience. They’re clearly passionate about what they sell, and it shows in every interaction.
The Ice Cream Parlor:
The ice cream shop feels like the heart of the community, especially on warm evenings when families line up outside. Despite the crowds, the team behind the counter keeps the energy high and the smiles genuine. They joke with kids, let customers sample flavors without hesitation, and offer thoughtful recommendations based on your preferences (whether you want something adventurous or classic). Even when the lines are long, they don’t cut corners or make you feel like just another customer.
Overall Experience:
Across all three locations, the common thread is clear: the staff treat you like family. They aren’t just serving products; they’re creating a place where people want to linger, connect, and come back. In a world where customer service often feels automated or rushed, these local businesses are a refreshing reminder that real hospitality still exists.
Final Thoughts:
It’s not just the coffee, chocolate, or ice cream that keeps me (and so many others) coming back — it’s the feeling you get when you walk in and the way you’re treated while you’re there. These places remind you what “small-town charm” really means.
Came back Wednesday earlier this time and proceeded to wait. 7-10 minutes to even place an order before walking over to another counter to ask if they are making food.
Was then helped promptly
Ordered
Ceasar salad
BBQ chicken sandwich
Lobster bisque
Ceasar salad was okay , the lettuce was not cut , chicken was cold prepackaged chicken
BBQ chicken sandwich was GREAT
lobster bisque was nice and hot but lacked flavor.
A little pricey but the place is worth a try
