It has been over 24 hours and I’m still dreaming of the food I had here. The best crab rangoon I’ve ever had in life. They use real crab meat and it comes as a dip. The OG wings were amazing too. The naem khao was pretty decent too. It was my first time having this dish from anywhere so I have no baseline. Cannot wait to come here again.

We ordered multiple things from the menu and then headed into the adjoining Wandering Leaf Brewing Company to enjoy our meal. We tried the Noakeo’s Eggrolls and the Sai Oua Rolls for starters. Then we had the Crispy Rice Salad, the Duck Fried Rice, the Khao Soi Haeng and the Lao Sausage. My favorite items were the egg rolls, the Khao Soi and the Crispy Rice. I don’t think the prices are unreasonable for the quality and quantity. Highly recommend!

We decided to give this place a try after hearing so many positive reviews. The owner was incredibly friendly, and the food was well-seasoned, which we found to be a big plus. It was definitely an Asian-approved experience!

Really good wok items. We had the chicken and the noodles. Fun decor and friendly. Free water came in a glass bottle and metal cups 🙂 We got small plates for sharing.

We had such a wonderful experience at Soul Lao! The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Every dish we tried tasted like it was made with so much care and attention to detail. Our absolute favorite was the Nam Khao—perfectly crispy, fragrant, and packed with layers of deliciousness. It was so well-balanced with crunch, spice, and brightness that we couldn’t stop raving about it.

Ordered takeout and were pleasantly surprised—everything was fantastic! The portions were generous, which made up a little for the pricing but we still think the prices are a bit high. The food was flavorful and well-seasoned throughout. Easily one of the best burgers in the Twin Cities for anyone looking for something more unique than the usual. We’re not in St. Paul often, but this spot is definitely on our list whenever we return.

Stopped here after landing at the airport – it’s only about 8 minutes away. They’ve been open for 2 years and mostly get takeout orders. We wanted to dine in and they were so excited to practice their plating which was really fun to see (and beautiful – see photos!). The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere for dining in was really quite nice. The pork nam Khao was a tiny bit too salty but tasted great. The fried chicken was excellent especially with the sauces and the sticky rice was delicious. Great meal for coming to or from the airport for sure!!

Phenomenal food. Branzino fish is a must. Short Ribs are too. You already know about the OG Wings.

Without a doubt one of the best spots in the Twin Cities. The food is phenomenal and packed with flavor. The egg rolls, Sen Mae Yai, and Lao sausage were fantastic. The sweet fish sauce and chili sauce sides were great. Portions were on the smaller side, however I much prefer that to the oversized portions you get at most restaurants in America. I also like the self-service/order on your phone model. Staff were very friendly. I do think it is a bit overpriced ($12 egg rolls…), but as the metro area is severely lacking in Laotian food, I’ll have no choice but to come back!

The Wings are here! They are absolutely incredible! You won’t find better wings in town, for sure! Make sure you try the O.G. Wings, you won’t be disappointed.
This place is such a cool spot, it’s family-owned! The owners are amazing! The restaurant is clean and well-run.
And, they’re right next door to a dog-friendly distillery!
