Great salmon sandwich. I could do without the horseradish flavor in the remoulade but overall bomb taste! Fresh ingredients. Fruit punch mix drink was very light and refreshing. The onion rings could use some work but they were fresh. My SO enjoyed my leftovers as well!! ☺️

Juicy, flavorful, wonderfully messy burgers! Even though I’m not usually a burger person, I couldn’t stop enjoying my husband’s burger. The side dishes were just as good—fresh, crispy, and full of flavor, with no hint of old oil. Everything tasted clean and well-prepared. We’re already excited to come back and try more items on the menu (our goal is to try everything!). The employees were friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth revisiting! ✨

This minority owned restaurant is definitely worth the stop for a meal. We had the salmon sandwich and the smacker burger . We also had fried okra and French fries. For dessert we had cheesecake from City Hall Cheesecake. They pick it up there daily. The salmon sandwich is phenomenal. It had a plethora of flavors going on. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the sauce on it is so tasty. The burger was great as well. Double meat with crispy bacon and a fried egg on top. The burger was juicy and tasty. It was grilled to perfection. The fried okra was seasoned very well, not too salty but just right. The French fries were good, however a fresh cut fry would just set the entire meal off. The cheesecake came from City Hall Cheesecakes. I had the strawberry drizzle on mine. The staff here were very friendly and professional. They all deserve a raise! I would say this sets them apart from fast food joints for sure. This is an A+ minority owned restaurant! We had to wait a short time, but the food was so fresh and tasty. The bathrooms were small, but very clean. It’s apparently a local favorite. They had a steady flow of pick up orders while we were there. Will definitely be back to try some more of what they have to offer, which is a lot. Definitely something for everyone.

I have my top burger spots already ranked in my mind.
It’s going to be difficult to beat Chili Verde, Dixie Queen or Hunts Oyster Bar.
So it’s going to hard to crack my top 3.
But I’d place this in my top 10.
Definitely would choose this place over a typical fast food spot anytime.
It was big, it was juicy, it was reasonably priced.
The fries were your basic seasoned fries. The onion rings remind me of Whataburger.
Not a bad thing .
The spicy green beans were pretty good and so was the other sides we tried off the sampler.
I had 3 Smacker Burgers (combos with lemonade) 1 sampler, 1 slice of cake, 1 slider combo.
The charged for refills on lemonade.
But their C02 was out so there wasn’t as many options.
They didn’t have a kids menu and I had my 5 year old with me.
That’s the reason for the slider combo.
I left full and overall happy.
The total bill was right around $100.

When I say SLOW!!!! I spent my ENTIRE LUNCH BREAK in this place. Mind, I place my order at 1:03 & the site said that it would be ready at 1:33. Clocked out at 1:20 & food still wasn’t done when I got there. Had to wait an EXTRA 20 mins, only for my food to be room temp. They leave the food exposed in the window until they’re done with the last item. I got a pick 4 & a quesadilla with onion rings. Well, somebody forgot to drop the onion rings, so my food just sat there. Shame I paid over $40 for cold fries & room temp food. Never again.

My initial visit to Smackers was last week. I rarely dine out, and I consulted my coworkers about this establishment; their opinions were positive. However, I did not feel welcome during my visit, which influenced my overall impression. The food was exceptionally tasty, although the quesadillas were excessively salty, indicating a need for more careful seasoning. I was unable to finish them and ultimately gave them to my sister, despite finding them delicious. I also ordered a burger, which could have benefited from additional seasoning, but if it tasted similar to the quesadilla, I would advise caution. The burger was still enjoyable.
The hospitality at the restaurant requires significant improvement. The cooks appeared unfriendly, although the front desk staff was very considerate. I would like to mention the comment regarding allegations of racism; I do not believe this was the case. Instead, I think the establishment should focus on enhancing its hospitality and customer service.

The restaurant is mainly for takeout orders but had a couple of tables with chairs. It was clean on the inside and the person taking orders was somewhat nice. There was a bit of a wait for our takeout (was thinking you could eat in but decided to get it to go) but received the food hot and fresh. When we arrived home, the food was still hot and ready to eat.
