The only think good was the fish. I got the candied yams and greens . How is it candied yams with NOTHING TO MAKE IT CANDIED???? Tasted like it was fresh out the can. Greens was bland who is making this food?? Soul Boat? They lying bc it ain’t no soul in this food. Save your money. This not like Carolina kitchen. This is not real soul food. Had to doctor up the yams and greens and basically remake them. Yuck. I didn’t include the yams in the photos bc they are in the air fryer getting recooked.

Don’t eat here…I ordered a large oxtail dinner and it was supposed to be 8 oxtails… I got 2 oxtails and 6 oxtail bones …the rice was bland and overcooked. I caught the lady making my Mac and cheese in the microwave and when I asked why she said they cook the food that way. The pork chop sandwich was supposed to be 3 separate pork chops not a pork chop cut into 3 pieces. The chicken drumsticks bones were black inside which means that the chicken wasn’t fresh. These people need to stop calling their Chinese food, Soul food or they need to hire a cook ( chef) to teach them how to make and SEASON food correctly. Frying fish, a 7 year old can do but making food you can’t fake it and need to know what you are doing especially when you are more expensive than any other restaurant. Very disappointed in the quality and the service. If you think I’m just complaining, take a look at the old desserts in the case that they are trying to sell . Quality food and quality service firsthand is more important than how much money you can make. I should have known better because no one was buy food from here. The phone never rang and my order was the only order being made at dinnertime. Red flag, that I ignored. Don’t eat here until they fix the problems

First time visit…I had the lake trout, collards, macncheese, potatoes salad and yams. I wanted to try multiple sides, so I know what to get the next time. All were really good, however the macncheese was lacking a little, but not bad. Everything else was delicious and price was great! Fish could’ve used a little more seasoning, but I was very satisfied. I will be back!

They truly surprised me. When I first walked in and I saw Asians people I thought I was going to get Asians tasting food but NO! They may not be African Americans but they had the best Southern tasting food. I was very impressed with their food I even brought extras. Try the fried fish I couldn’t stop eating it! Good job! Yum

Really good soul food.. I found it on Google and I stop by on this holiday not too many places was open. It has a real good Southern flavor they even give you a free sample. They having their grand opening so stop on by and get some good soul food hot and fresh very customer-friendly they are not offering dining at this time but you can get it to go call in ahead to order!
