We were so looking forward to trying Sorellina and came away disappointed. The wine and cocktail selection were exceptional and the tableside tiramisu was a pleasant experience, and the service was great. However, from among our selections the halibut was overcooked (though the sauce was nice), the fritto misto was anything but ‘lightly breaded,’ and the pasta with the steamed clams was stale and wine sauce flavorless. Granted we visited on a Tuesday for locals night and very much enjoyed the special touches afforded us, but our meal was hit and miss, mostly miss. Because the staff were so welcoming and the service was great we will return one day, but hopful for a better outcome on the food.

I try really hard to be fair and unbiased in my reviews, so here’s my honest experience. My wife, myself, and our six kids visited Sorellina’s this past week. I was genuinely hopeful. I’ve followed Alex on Instagram for years and have been a fan of St. Honoré since the early days. We even drove 45 minutes from our event as we came to NV for an event, to get here instead of choosing something closer, largely because I’m gluten-free and was excited to try their options.

Environment & Design:
The space is elegant, and as a designer/luxury builder by trade, I recognized many of the design elements and sourcing. They did a good job creating a refined atmosphere.

The Rating – Why 3/5:
It ultimately comes down to two things: the food execution and the service.

1. Food Quality (Adults 4/5, Kids 3/5):
For a Friday night with only one other couple dining well before closing, the food could have been stepped up. The gluten-free pasta was solid, but the gluten-free bread was hard, dense, and unfortunately tasted artificial. I had the Barese, it was good, but for the portion size and price, it felt overpriced, even for Summerlin.

For the kids, the meatball was unexpectedly spicy and not something you’d think to serve on a kid’s entrée.

2. Service Experience (This is what truly brought it to a 3/5):
Our server, I will call her M (not publicly shamming) did not deliver the level of service the environment sets you up to expect. The menu wasn’t explained, our questions felt like an inconvenience, and the entire interaction felt rushed.

The biggest issue came at the end of the night when she asked about dessert. The kids’ menu clearly states at the bottom: “a fresh fruit starter & a sweet gelato treat.” When I mentioned this, she insisted the kids did not get gelato. Arguing with a guest about what’s printed on your own menu is never a good look.

She eventually brought the gelato for the kids and even a slice of gluten-free cake for my wife and i, which made it feel like she realized it was a mistake, but by then the damage was done.

Final Thoughts:
I truly want Sorellinas to succeed, there’s a lot of potential here. But if you’re going to charge premium prices, the service needs to match the standard set by their other restaurants, and the kid’s meals should be treated with the same care as the adult’s.

We spent a decent amount of money for our meal, which I’m always more than happy to pay when the experience reflects it. Unfortunately, this time, it didn’t.

If you are gluten- free prepare for your favorite foods that taste great! If you’re not, the regular menu is equally amazing. All the gluten-free pasta dishes were fantastic! Lemon olive oil cake, also gluten-free, was soo delicious! And we had China, a truly outstanding server to complete our enjoyment! Highly recommend!

Loved this place! We came all the way from NY for my birthday just to have an amazing gluten free Italian dinner. The owner Steve came to say hi and he was so kind and told us the story behind the restaurant. Our server Rubio was awesome too! The gluten free bread was delicious and so was the pesto gluten free pasta. Hubby had the eggplant/chicken parm and it was so good! We will be telling everyone about this and will be back! The fact that we could have a fabulous Italian dinner that was flavorful, made with food ingredients, no seed oils made the trip!

Sorellina Cucina Italiana – A Culinary Journey to Italy!

Our recent dinner at Sorellina Cucina Italiana, right as they opened their doors, was an absolutely enchanting experience. From the moment we stepped inside, the restaurant’s stunning aesthetic truly set the stage for an unforgettable evening. We knew instantly we were in for a good time!

The food was nothing short of extraordinary. We indulged in what can only be described as the best pasta we have ever tasted: the **Mafaldine Puttanesca** and the **Paccheri Alla Sorellina**. Each dish transported us directly to Italy – a country I’ve yet to visit, but now feel I’ve experienced through Sorellina’s authentic and exquisite flavors.

The **Taste of Parma** appetizer was a delightful start, featuring the most incredible olives and balsamic. And the **Chicken “Al Mattone”**? Oh, it was unbelievably juicy! Seriously, Sorellina, you need to start offering recreational cooking classes so we can learn the secret to that magnificent chicken!

Beyond the incredible food, the staff made us feel like cherished family. Our heartfelt thanks go out to **Arabella and Genevieve**, whose warmth and attentiveness made our visit truly enjoyable.

And let’s talk about desserts! The **Olive Oil Lemon Cake** was a universal favorite, perfectly moist and delicately flavored. Anna’s Italian cookies were also wonderfully soft and a delightful treat.

A huge bonus for us was the impressive selection of mocktails. We happily tried all three Italian Mocktails – the refreshing **Strawberry Spritz**, the crisp **Cucumber No-Jito**, and our absolute favorite, the **Pistachio and Cream**. That pistachio cream is utterly divine – I absolutely need it every day!

Sorellina Cucina Italiana is a true gem, delivering an unparalleled dining experience that blends exquisite flavors with heartfelt hospitality. We are already planning our return!

Absolute wonderful experience. Everything from the service when you walk in to the table side tiramisu was incredible. Alex, our waiter was so attentive. The pasta was perfect cooked. We had the pesto and the pistachio crunch was delish. Recommend for date night, a celebration or just a good meal on a Tuesday!

A lovely upscale casual dining experience . The bread was well made. Fresh, high quality ingredients prepared with care make this a solid hit for the price. Portions are appropriate for the quality. The wait staff and manager made us feel very welcome and comfortable.
This is a perfect place for a date night or a dining experience beyond a daily dash. If you take your time, and drink in the experience with good people, you will be hard pressed to find significant fault.
To Sorellina: Grazie per il cibo!

We had a great dinner at Sorellina on a Sunday evening. The food was excellent — flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. It was also nice that the atmosphere was a little quieter that night, which made for a relaxing meal. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and we noticed it’s connected with the Mexican restaurant next door, which adds to the unique local vibe.

Plenty of parking available, which is always a plus in Vegas. Overall, a great spot for Italian food with good service and a comfortable atmosphere.
