No-frills institution in a shopping center offering spicy Korean fried chicken & other BBQ staples.

The chicken is hot, crispy, and a little dry. The sauces are sweet, sour, tangy, spicy….pretty much anything you want. Solid choice, but for some reason the last couple times we’ve been to this location, something has been off with the food. It’s not nearly as plump and juicy as the location closer to Wake Forest area. Definitely try that one before judging the whole Soo Cafe experience!
Oh and they have a little tiny market at the front too and play a variety of Kpop on the tvs, which is nice.

Possibly the best Korean fried chicken in the Triangle. I’ve tried bone in and boneless wings and both are good. The bibimbap is phenomenal. I usually go with friends and no one has ever been disappointed. If you want some good Korean food in a unique and comfortable atmosphere, this is a great place.

My boyfriend and I came and tried this spot out the other day. Absolutely amazing! We both got the fried chicken, I just did the wings with the original sauce and my boyfriend did like a mix of chicken (I think he had some breast pieces, thighs, and some wings) in the popular garlic sauce (I don’t recall, but it said most popular on the menu). We also got a kimchi pancake and rice. Way too much food in hindsight, but it was all so delicious!! Service was quick and kind, it wasn’t busy when we went, middle of the day on a Sunday I believe. Overall we’d absolutely be back, it was a great space, looks like it would be a great time to go for Karaoke too!

We came for dinner and ordered from the menu based on the server’s recommendations. We ordered both boneless and bone-in fried chicken with different sauces. The food arrived quickly, as there were only two occupied tables in the restaurant at the time. The fried chicken was different from American fried chicken. It was crispy and tender, not dry. The sauce was unique, a blend of spicy, sour, and sweet flavors. We ordered the Large portion.
If you want to try fried chicken that’s different from the usual, this restaurant could be a great choice.

Not a huge spicy food fan, only here and there so I ordered mine not spicy. The beef special bibimbap was truly one of the best lunches I’ve ever had.

We had kimchi pancake and galbi and they were the worst Korean dishes I’ve ever had. I took a couple bites and couldn’t stomach anymore 🙁
My pink lemonade tasted…toxic? So bad.
We asked for extra lettuce for the galbi and were told they couldn’t give us more. Surprising because we paid over $30 for that dish.
They should stick to fried chicken and make that their focus. It was decent.
Our server was sweet and attentive. No shade to her.

David was our server. He was very attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing. It was truly a pleasant experience. The food was AMAZING. Everything we ate, David recommended and it was delicious. The food came out fast and hot. Overall this was a great dining experience and we will return.

misses the mark. the pancake was impressively small and floppy. Wings were crispy but below average for korean fried chicken. beef was also forgettable. This wouldn’t be terrible if the food wasn’t also overpriced.
There are plenty of other good Korean restaurants in the triangle

Found this spot online as I was looking for good Korean fried chicken. I have to admit when I pulled up to the spot, I was apprehensive. The restaurant is located in a dying strip mall and the outside is very unassuming. BUT! The food was amazing. I ordered fried dumplings, spicy beef bulgogi, and fried chicken wings: 5 with SOGA and 5 with Sweet Chili sauce. Every single thing was perfect! The crisp on the chicken was light and crunchy even after being sauced! The Bulgogi was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the spice level was perfect! To top it off our server was amazing! He was fast, attentive and extremely kind and friendly in spite of being the only server there and handling the lunch rush by himself! Soo Cafe is definitely a hidden gem! I recommend to anyone who loves Korean food! I will be back, again and again!

Maintain that they have the best chicken tenders on Earth. My friends and partner love the rest of their food as well. Outside is very unassuming, but they’ve made a lot of great updates to the interior in terms of seating areas and offerings. Love it here! Generally pretty quiet, even with kpop music videos playing in the main dining area
