I went there the other day with my mother. I’ve never been to that location before. We enjoyed the service the waiter was great but just to be totally honest the food was almost cold the barbecue was kind of greasy the flavor was good but it was just kind of cold and greasy. I felt like they could have did a little better on that and the chicken seemed to be quite dry. I felt like they could do better on that. I’ve eaten at Sonny’s before in the past not at that location but other locations I’ve gotten great food but that experience was not the greatest. Great food! This was our first visit and it was delicious! Hubby had the sampler plate and I had a Create your Own Bowl meal. Both very yummy! The sweet BBQ sauce was so good! I wonder if you can purchase bottles of it? We will definitely come again!

I went to Sonny’s BBQ today for lunch with a friend. It was my first time eating there and the food was delicious. We had the All you can eat meal with baby back ribs. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. The side dishes were really good and the portions were very generous. The chicken, ribs, brisket and the pulled pork were so good.. Since this was my first time eating there, the waitress gave me a free bottle of barbecue sauce of my choice to take home with me.

Had an early dinner. Got the sampler plate and loved the brisket, ribs, chicken and pulled pork. Sides were mac-n-cheese and green beans. Both were outstanding. BBQ sauce selection was nice. Definitely like the traditional the best. Nice smokey flavor with just a hint of vinegar. Server was Mel and we couldn’t have been happier with her sweet disposition and quick service. Parking was plentiful and the facility as a whole was nice.

Food was great. We asked our waitress for some tea to go. She brought us 2 empty small cups and no tea in it. We then watched her bring out big full to go cups to someone else! Highly disappointed because I live in Iowa and am here for a visit and was looking forward to this meal!
