Solid Sonny’s here. We were sat quickly, drinks orders were right behind sitting down. Orders were taken in timely fashion and all orders came out correct.
We got: kids hamburger, kids cheeseburger, triple combo and a two meat combo.
Food was consistently Sonny’s. Good, coukd have been warmer, but not a deal breaker.
$71 with tip for fam of 4 and four teas.

We came in from Iowa, and as usual we read reviews. All restaurants have great ones and bad ones. We don’t solely put faith in all bads ones, as some people will just complain no matter what, seen it to many times. The bad we read was that St. Louis style ribs were awful, well that is what I ordered, my wife ordered pulled pork sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious. As we were walking in the place a kind lady was asked by me, “Well is it any good, we read both sides?”She smiled as stated, she thought so and walked on and opened the door for us. And then she walks out and she works there…lol…We were seated and our waitress Mary V, was on top of her game, kind , efficient ,and swift with her smile. We ordered and ate, the ribs were top notch, her sandwich was the bomb. Baked beans, Cole slaw, and cornbread were delicious. I ate all mine, and she ate till she couldn’t anymore. Then comes the PIT MASTER, asked if we were satisfied and of course stated excellence is the key. We paid and tipped and left. A great experience all in one hour or less. We highly recommend not to take in all reviews, cause if you do, you miss the gems. Ralph and Judie.

I tried the salad this time. I didn’t even know they had a salad, but it was so much I couldn’t eat half. It was also delicious but you can’t go to wrong with a salad. We did have an excellent server, Mary, who stayed late at work just to handle the party. She was really awesome. She kept everything coming like we were in the restaurant by ourselves. It was an enjoyable experience. Of course I shall return and you should pay them a visit as well.
OLD POST: The food is okay for me , but the family loves it here. All I can really eat is a salad, but the food definitely looks good. I think we had the best waitress, though. I think her name was LaToya. Excellent service with a smile. I did order the Loaded Tater Tots. They were very disappointing cause they weren’t loaded at all. They didn’t look anything like the menu. Oh well, maybe next time. ↕️

Update: In addition to eating in the restaurant, I recently ordered takeout for a small party of 14. The staff were great to work with, and despite me having a last minute increase in number of people, they were pleasant and accommodating. Plenty of food. This made the party so much easier and everyone enjoyed the quality and taste!

Family friendly, very quick service when we came in late on Sunday. Server was great! He had our food out to us in like less than 10 minutes. Was even nice to my kids!

I went to drive thru which was a major plus because it was raining. Wait time wasn’t bad, customer service was okay. But the first thing I noticed was there was sauce all over the box, and it got on my clothe before I even opened the container. My garlic Texas toast was soggy. I paid extra for brisket and it was extremely dry. Paid extra for the St. Louis style ribs and they weren’t the best either. But the bbq beans were great. I think we all have bad days and maybe this was an off one.

Zero sense of urgency. Never acknowledged, let alone seated. The restaurant was not even full and the greeter was nowhere on sight. The take out person just kept staring at the line of people waiting for their to-go order. Avoid this one!

During my recent visit to this town, I was in search of a place to eat. Unfortunately, upon entering this particular establishment, I observed an employee engaging with a disgruntled customer in an unprofessional manner. My disappointment continued when I ordered the food, as it tasted as if it had been freezer burned and was quite tough. Specifically, the baby back ribs, coleslaw, and baked beans were of poor quality. Moreover, the total cost of over $70 did not align with the subpar experience. This unfortunate incident has left me reluctant to dine at any Sonny’s in the future. It’s disheartening to witness a decline in service, food quality, and the essence of good old-fashioned barbecue. I strongly advise against eating here.
