This Sonic is easily THE worst Sonic location in the Hampton Roads area. Long wait times are not usual. For me, it has been a 20 minute wait for my food each time we visited. The long wait won’t be worth it either. Food is not hot and orders won’t be accurate. If you want a good Sonic, go to the one in Carrolton. It’s a 18 minute drive, but you’re going to wait 18 minutes at this location anyways. At least you will be happy with what you order. Orders are quick, fresh, and hot. Also, pay no attention to the lukewarm apologies that follow these negative reviews. The real apology is a change in customer service and product quality. It hasn’t changed in the 6.5 years that I’ve been here. Atp, one could say that mediocre service and poor execution IS their standard.

You have been wanting Sonic for a long time but there are none in your area. You realize that there is one near your son’s high school football game so you leave early enough to eat before the game. As you get closer your mouth waters. You get there and it smells heavenly, just like you remember. You pull up to a stall and place your order for you and your wife. A long, and I mean unusually long time for a place nowhere near busy, time passes and you see your “carhop” coming towards you with enough drinks to hydrate the entire football team. I ordered a #4 with a Rt. 44 Strawberry Limeade….not FOUR Rt. 44 drinks. So, I have to reorder, wait longer, and receive what could only be described as ….meh.

Today I came to Sonic because the app said I could get a free small side since yesterday was my birthday…Thank you! I had not been here in a while because the last few times my order was incorrect and even though I would order my food from my app it was never ready when I asked that it be ready! Hopefully they got more staff and can win me over again so that I can give a better rating!

We just had shakes during this visit – they were good. Service was a little slow but this was 7:30 pm so maybe they don’t have the staff that they would during peak hours. We had a great server. She was sweet and very professional.

First we pulled to the carhop window to sit and wait to be told at 6:15pm during the day only the drive thru was open. We ordered 2 number 12’s (bbq popcorn chicken) looks nothing like the picture, second we ordered 2 chili cheese dogs WITHOUT bums, she brings them to the window with buns, as we see they have buns, we tell her once again, NO BUNS, she tells us , they don’t have buns, then pulls them back into the window realizing she was wrong. Needless to say I won’t be visiting here again.

This Sonic is kinda hit or miss. Usually super slow even when it doesn’t seem busy. Food’s alright but nothing to get excited about. Place could be a lot cleaner too. Just feels a bit run down. Not the worst but definitely not my first choice unless I’m really craving a slush.

Ordered online. Went thru the drive thru to pick up. By time it was our turn our “slushies” were completely melted and all the flavoring was on the bottom. We complained that we ordered a slushie and were told yea, thats a slushie. There was next to no slush left in it. They remade one. Didnt remake the second one.
