Looks can be deceiving. What began as an incredible experience with some handmade tortilla chips and mouthwatering salsa transformed into a disappointing meal. My tacos, as seen in the picture, resembled tortillas with some meat, while my daughter’s quesadillas were devoid of any salt. My son’s chicken breast, grilled straight from the grill, wasnt seasoned to perfection. Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed with this place.
The servers were incredibly friendly, and the manager was equally pleasant. However, the food definitely needs improvement, especially considering the high prices.

Sol Cocina absolutely delivers on what you want a night out to feel like—relaxed, polished, and indulgent. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, especially in the evening, with a vibe that encourages you to slow down and actually enjoy the experience rather than rush through it.

I ordered the Pollo Volcano, and it was exactly what the name promises. Rich, flavorful, and finished with a wild cheese pull that deserves its own spotlight—properly melted, not greasy, and layered over tender chicken with real depth of flavor.
The chips and salsa were another standout. They use whole tortillas, which makes a noticeable difference—heartier, fresher, and more satisfying. The red salsa was bold and well-balanced, and there was a darker salsa that tasted like a black bean–based salsa: earthy, savory, and a great contrast to the brighter red.
They have a large drink menu, with plenty of options whether you’re in the mood for cocktails, tequila, or something lighter. It’s the kind of place where ordering a second round actually feels justified.
Bottom line: great atmosphere, genuinely good service, and food that earns the “chef’s kiss.” Sol Cocina is an easy recommendation if you’re in Cherry Creek and want a meal that feels like an experience, not just dinner.

So glad my friend picked this place to celebrate my birthday with a brunch treat. Chefs special chili verde was a delight and bursting with so many well balanced flavors. Egg was perfectly cooked and added a creaminess to the chilli. Server was so nice and made us laugh the entire time! They even gave me a yummy creamy flat churros dessert drizzled with chocolate and tresleches syrub!

If you haven’t been to Sol Mexican Cocina yet, you are seriously missing out! Hands down the best fresh guacamole in town — you can taste how fresh and perfectly seasoned it is in every bite. And the margaritas? Absolutely top tier. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and dangerously good!
The atmosphere is lively, energetic, and just fun. Whether you’re out for date night, girls’ night, or just craving amazing Mexican food with great vibes, this is the spot. The whole place feels vibrant and welcoming from the moment you walk in.

A great first experience here! The chicken quesadilla was absolutely delectable and the chicken tortilla soup was really yummy and filling! The manager, Julio, came over and checked in on us. Our server, Marney, was fantastic from start to finish. Very attentive and present while also handling several other tables. Will definitely be coming back to see her!

A group of us girls had lunch at Sol this past Sunday and loved it. Everything about our experience there was wonderful. Our server, Lizbeth, was friendly and very helpful with the menu, and especially patient given that we had a 9 month old baby with us that was fussy at times. (she is great with babies!) My daughter arrived after we had finished our meals, but Lizbeth was happy to wait on her, and there was no feeling of pressuring us to leave or rush thru a meal, even though we took up her table for a long time. She was one of the best servers we’ve had in a long while and we will be back. Thank you!
