Decent food with reasonable prices, but the ambience is lacking.
Food: As many have said, the portions are HUGE. We ordered the chicken with onions and pork with onions, both with plantains and salad. The meat was sizzling and quite tasty. It was simple, likely with salt & pepper to season, but still good. The plantains were disappointingly bland and the salad was effectively iceberg lettuce. The empanada was flavorful and I would return for that alone.
Service: We arrived on a Fri night and there was only one front of house person. She was both the bartender and the server. Nice and attentive.
Ambience: This place struck me as more of a takeout restaurant than a sit in. The restaurant was virtually empty with bright pale lights. There are TV screens everywhere, so this may be better suited as a late night sports bar than a restaurant.

I recently visited this restaurant and I must say, I was impressed. I ordered the chicken and it was delicious. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The service was exceptional too, with friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very cozy and I felt comfortable throughout my entire visit. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant and recommending it to anyone looking for excellent Latin cuisine.

Made me miss Latin America sooo much. The Mofongo was very good. The Cubano was huge and with real pulled pork! Didn’t eat the empanadas but got the Pizza and beef just way too much food. Service was great too. Great place! I wish I could be here during a club night! Sancocho is on Saturdays only!! I’ll be coming by to pick one up for the ride home.

Everything was good but the cost f the food is ridiculous. 17 something for windy, fries and a soda. The fries where super greasy, it was 6 small wings with no seasoning. Old grease at that. This is a Latin spot I expected more flavor and for that I can go elsewhere where and I will. This is not a fancy spot but want to charge high prices for downtown Springfield for a hole in the wall.

I love the cube steak with onion from here and also chicken stew. But this time I got some soup from here and it came with bread. The soup was flavorful but to oily and the bread wasn’t fresh it was stale disappointing.

I rolled into town from Texas and am sure glad I stopped by here. The food, music, and service were great. I definitely recommend it.

Food was really good but it a few minutes longer than expected. We were on a time crunch. One person’s order was completely unavailable and we weren’t made aware of it until 15 min later. Overall its a nice space, friendly staff, food was really good so I would definitely come back. With Covid, you have to be more patient with places but this is was a nice local spot to come to. A first for me. Thanks!

I’ve never had Dominican food. I ordered the Mangu. It had cried salami, fried eggs, fried cheese, and Mofongo. It was one of the most decadent dishes I’ve ever eaten. It was excellent. For two people it was only $40.
