First time visiting El Chartito. We stopped in while traveling and not wanting fast food options.y wife thought this looked like a good place on Google maps. It was not busy when we stopped in at almost 11 am on a Saturday. I found the restaurant to be clean and inviting enough. Large menu board with a good selection of offerings and protein choices. We ordered a burrito, sopa, and chicken tomales. It wasn’t a long wait for our food to arrive. The food looked good. It was served on paper plates, which is fine. We all enjoyed the taste of our food, which was served at at what I would say was the right temperature. Not cold, not too hot. We travel through Toppenish several times a year, so we will likely be stopping here again. Our experience was good. Service was excellent. Prices were fair, even good, compared to what we are use to in California.

There’s not a day they don’t forget something foods not the greatest but it’s decent I was in shock when I ordered there carne asada it was just one piece and not the full piece they cut that piece in half I legit can’t believe it and they just put hella lettuce and onion like for what I guess I’m paying for onions because the price of this plate is not worth the half of meat I got! so ridiculous I showed my whole family we were dying can’t believe they think that’s enough atleast one piece of meat but whole not cut in half oh and the salsa are In Those tiny containers it doesn’t come with your meal btw they charge u for each one and they forget them all the time so make sure u ask if they forget cause your paying for those !

First time here. The facility is clean and well kept. They were training some new staff members today, so got to hear how things “should” be done. The staff we saw were cheerful and friendly.
The food was large portions, especially for the price. I had the steak fajita combo meal and Dad had the #21 Ensalada (shrimp). We also got a chip & salsa.
Nothing special on the chips & salsa.
The shrimp was FABULOUS!
The steak fajita was tasty; but the meat was a bit chewy.
While in the restaurant during lunchtime, we were the only people inside. HOWEVER, the drive up window was non-stop, and I could see the people ordering. They all seemed to already know what they wanted – which means to me repeat customers.
Will return.

Had some awfully dry tamales today. They are usually hit or miss. Best to check before you leave the drive thru. Would not recommend the tamales. Other food is exceptional.

Charrito is not worth your money, we got some tacos for dinner tonight, and my mom tacos had nothing but fat from the meat, your paying almost $3, the tacos should be filled with meat not the fat. Please do not waste your money here your better off going to a taco truck.

5-26-2024. My son and I went for dinner and ordered a steak fajita combo and a chicken fajita combo (come with beans, rice, and a medium fountain drink) The chicken was awesome, very tender and good flavor. The steak was awesome too, but worth noting it was definitely well done and on the chewy side, so if you like a tender asada you should ask for it on the rare side. I like my steak a little burnt so it was perfect for me. Portions were generous for the price with plenty of meat. I gave 4 stars for service because we sat outside and they didnt bring napkins with our order (napkins are at each table inside). 37 bucks and some change for the two meals. Overall a great experience with authentic mexican food.
