I went to Soho on Saturday, February 21, 2026 to celebrate my birthday with my two children. I had a reservation and we had a short wait. We were sat at a hibachi grill with another party that was finishing up. It took longer than anticipated for the chef to come out. He cooked our food in 10 minutes. Only did one trick with an egg. The food was less to be desired and bland. The fried rice was barely beige and dry. Hardly any soy sauce was used. My daughter’s chicken was extremely dry. When I told the server that it was my birthday and all I wanted was a fun hibachi experience. She said oh I’m sorry. No manager came over to talk to us. Nothing was done. I had no less than five people recommend this restaurant to me and I will never go back. The quality of food for the price is absolutely underwhelming.

I had a fantastic time at SOHO Hibachi! The atmosphere was lively, with well-thought-out decor that added to the experience. The hibachi performance was entertaining, making it a fun outing beyond just a meal. The food was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and well-portioned. Every dish exceeded expectations.
Overall, it’s a solid 5 out of 5—great food, great environment, and a fun experience. Definitely worth a visit!

Food was good. The chef was great. But gratuity was added to bills for part of the party, but not others. Further, gratuity was added for a group of 5. Nowhere on the menu, on the bill or anywhere in the establishment is it written that gratuity will be added automatically for a group of any size. There is no written policy anywhere and it was even inconsistent within the party. When I asked about it, i was just told that that’s what they do. Unacceptable… I won’t be returning

Absolutely loved this restaurant. Found it on a business trip and it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was terribly inviting. Loved the darkness. All 3 of us had sushi and not a piece disappointed. The sushi was the freshest I have personally ever had. Our waitress did a wonderful job advising on what she recommended and overall service. Also had an apple martini and it was spot on. It will be hard to top this restaurant for sushi unless you are close to a coast or Japan itself.

The house salad is SO good. I don’t know what is in that dressing but it’s delicious. Also love the wontons, and the shrimp tempura is good too. Everything else that I’ve tried is pretty average but nothing I’ve tried has been bad. Hibachi chefs are always good vibes and very friendly and entertaining. The actual servers are meh. Overall decent spot to eat.

Great food and service my coke they brought me looked like tea and when I asked they immediately went and fixed it and brought me another checked back in several times while we were eating too. The only issue I really had was the cook wasn’t as interactive as other hibachi restaurants I’ve been too.
