Really really really really really good. Traditional New Orleans family-run bodega food + American staples + Vietnamese fusion. The gumbo is great. The crayfish boudin is great. The fried shrimp Po boy is divine. And they have pho!! Cheapest ATM in the area (.99 fee) And the place is super squeaky clean. If Tony Bourdain was still around, he would probably eat here.

Driving by and decided to drop in. Glad we did. All “homemade “ food and very good. Seasoned butter beans were the best!

I got food to-go twice while I was in town and I loved it both times. Really nice staff, decent prices. Not really a place that you’ll want to stay in to eat though.

I got there right at close but they still hooked me up. It was busy but the food is so good. The selection is usually always a wide variety. Staff is friendly and food reasonably priced. I will go earlier next time.

It all looks so full and fresh when the doors open at 11AM. It makes a hard decision when hungry! The Garlic Chicken is delish. Everything else looked amazing too!

Nice cantine or take
out restaurant.
Very affordable, and very tasty. A mix of creole and Asian dishes.

The boss and his son are very nice !

We had excellent Gumbo soup and crawfish boudin there.

Do not get the Pho. It’s not a glamorous as it may seem from the sign. I heard a lot of people getting the gumbo. Maybe I should have gotten that. Yuck.

This was a find strictly using the old Google/Yelp fingers. I had been speaking with some locals about “The Old Sober” aka – Yaka Mein and began looking for places nearby that served it. After checking photos and reviews I decided that Today’s Cajun Seafood was the one I wanted to try. I ordered a beef Yaka Mein, A pork boudin, and a crawfish pie. We had just gotten poured on and I was so looking forward to this hot food. There were a few little tables inside, but this is definitely more geared towards takeout. Either way, we ate it there.

That Yaka Mein was everything I had hoped it would be. The beef was tender and there was plenty of it, it came with one boiled egg but I added a second one and next time I may even add a third, the noodles were cooked well, there were a lot of scallions, and the broth was hot and flavorful. Literally all I wanted out of that dish, I got. The crawfish pie was fantastic too…I don’t think I’ll ever go back here without getting another one of those too. Delicious fragrant mix inside of a pastry shell and fried up…exactly what you’d expect it to be. The boudin was good but honestly unremarkable, I probably would pass on that next time and try some more stuff out.

I recently had an amazing experience at Today’s Cajun Seafood, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat. The menu is surprisingly diverse, offering everything from classic Cajun comfort food to Asian-inspired dishes, and everything I tried was delicious. Their poboy is packed with flavor, with crispy seafood and a perfectly toasted roll. I was also impressed by their pho, which has a rich, fragrant broth that tastes like it’s been simmered for hours. The bourbon chicken and pineapple chicken are both outstanding—tender, juicy, and coated in sauces that balance sweetness and savory spice beautifully. Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying their gumbo, and it did not disappoint; it’s hearty, comforting, and full of authentic Cajun flavor. Even the sides are memorable, especially the creamy mashed potatoes that pair well with almost any entrée. To finish the meal, their salted coffee is a must-try—it’s smooth, unique, and surprisingly refreshing. Overall, Today’s Cajun Seafood offers great food, generous portions, and consistently wonderful flavors. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying and enjoyable meal.
