We had a really nice dinner at Grumpy Butcher in Bali. The moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with big smiles. The service felt genuine and sincere. It honestly felt warm, almost like eating at a friend’s place.
We came with the family, and even the kids were happy the whole time. They loved their steaks and sides, and they enjoyed the open kitchen. The cook even gave us a little fire show with the grill, so that was a win for us.
We ordered the Tomahawk , and it was solid good quality meat, nicely cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. For the price, it’s actually a really good deal. You’re getting proper steak without paying crazy prices. We also tried the octopus, and it was very tender and enjoyable.
We also ordered wine. The selection is good — not the overly bougie type just honest, well-chosen bottles at market price. They still offer a nice variety to pair with your steak.
Overall, it’s a great spot in Bali if you’re looking for good steak at a reasonable price. Friendly people, cozy atmosphere, and good value. No complaints from us. We’ll definitely come back again.

I’ve come here a few times whenever I’m in Bali.
I always go for the Surf & Turf on their grilled menu, i choose the prawns to go with the steak. The seafood is super fresh and tasty, we also ordered the fresh oyster on their starters & shares menu while waiting for our main.
The outdoor seating is perfect for catching the sunset view.
The service was excellent and attentive throughout the meal.
Highly recommend coming here for any occasion! It’s totally worth the price you pay.

Incredible is an understatement, this place is amazing.
The service is impeccable particularly from the server who’s name was Amerta , the attention to detail from him and the other staff was beyond what I expected and it made us feel very special.
The food was some of the best food I have eaten in Bali , I had the ribs and my wife had the surf and turf.
We both recommend the peach sprits cocktail you won’t be disappointed.
I can not fault the s place in any way.

Went to the Grumpy Butcher for a wonderful dinner with the family. Food was amazing, we were really surprised by the delicious salt baked beets which was full of umami. Also the bone marrow was amazing and our little baby boy loved it. He also of course loved the tomahawk and smoked brisket, as did the rest of us.
The service was great, attentive, and sweet, just like the tiramisu that really wrapped up the whole experience. We look forward to coming back again soon!

Dropped by for lunch and immediately loved the vibe. The open fire grill, the smell of smoke, and the relaxed open-air setting set the mood straight away. We started with a few small dishes and the bone marrow with mushrooms was seriously good, rich and comforting without being heavy.
The tomahawk steak was the clear highlight. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and handled with real confidence. The smoked brisket was tender and smoky in all the right ways, clearly done by people who know their craft.

Our server Amerta was absolutely incredible! A welcoming attitude and attentive to our every need. He made sure we were satisfied with all services and even recommended a lovely cocktail. We got the bone marrow, chicken burger and steak sandwhich – everything was beyond exceptional and tasty.

and honestly, i’m usually not the type to get excited about side dishes, like i don’t expect much from them. BUT their Mac & Cheese??? i was SHOOK. it was insanely good, did NOT expect it to be that amazing
everything was 100% worth it. Main dish, side dish, drinks, ambiance, ALL TOP TIER. and most importantly, the service!!! shoutout to Kak Dewi and Kak Chandra, they were literally THE BEST. super friendly, super attentive, made the whole experience even better
