I love So Ba! One of the best pho spots in town. I’ve been coming here forever. The pho is so fresh, and all the accouterments that come with are super fresh and crispy. The noodles are perfectly done as well. The broth is very rich with just a little heat, perfect for the cooler weather coming! We like to sit at the bar but the whole restaurant is very well appointed, and the patio is nice as well. The things you absolutely have to get though is the salt and pepper tofu. It’s fried perfectly crispy with gelatinous tofu inside. The onions are nice and crispy and there’s jalapenos and Serrano peps to finish it off! Seriously this is one of the best spots in the city!

Very very good, I got the pho dac biet and the bun vermicelli noodles and, while the pho was delicious and nourishing, I was most impressed by the bun vermicelli! Very fresh ingredients

So Ba is one of those hidden neighborhood gems in East Atlanta Village. The vibe is laid-back, casual, and a little eclectic — it feels like a local hangout more than a polished chain, which I actually love.

The pho is the star here: rich broth, fresh herbs, and generous portions. Their vermicelli bowls and spring rolls are also worth trying — light but filling, with clean flavors. The menu isn’t overwhelming, which makes it easy to pick something good.

Service can be a little hit-or-miss depending on the night, but when it’s on, it feels personal and welcoming. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the cocktails (yes, they’ve got a bar) are a fun surprise for a Vietnamese spot.

If you’re looking for authentic, comforting Vietnamese food in a chill atmosphere, So Ba definitely delivers. It’s not fancy, but it’s soulful, and that’s what makes it stand out.

So Ba had delicious food and huge portions. We got the large bowls and had pho for the next three days. The service was speedy and friendly. We’ll be going back for sure.

Yum yum! Vietnamese food is my favorite when I look up places always look to see if they have the Com Bo Luc Lac. This place didn’t not disappoint!!

Com Bo Luc Lac— vietnamese fried rice with marinated cubed filet mignon. Accompanied by a bed of fresh lettuce, cucumbers, and pickled carrots. ✨️

Was cool to see all the intentional graffiti art and in the restroom and why hasn’t someone else thought of using a soap dispenser like theirs!? It was a fun and functional moment that made me laugh think “why hasn’t someone figured this out before” haha!!

I ordered a lemongrass vermicelli bowl on Uber Eats. It was the most bland, most dry, and hard piece of overcooked chicken breast cut in thin slices. I couldn’t even chew it and threw it out. This should typically be a juicy piece of thigh with crispy skin. The spring rolls were okay. Lacked flavor and Vietnamese authenticity. Definitely do not recommend .

Today we ordered 2 pork and shrimp vermicelli, and one shrimp vermicelli to go for our dinner. We called, and no one picked the phone. We went to the restaurant to order. The food came out 25 minutes later. When we got home, we found out one port and shrimp vermicelli had no shrimps and the other had 3 small shrimps. The one without the shrimp had 3 bites of vermicelli. See attached photo. This is a complete rip-off. The food tasted very average.

The food here was fantastic, but it was incredibly loud in here and we only had one waiter for the entire restaurant. It took a very long time to get someone to our table to give us waters and order food/drinks, we nearly left until they got the vibe that we were about to stand up and leave. They were doing the best they could given the circumstances, but management really needs to prioritize hiring and managing how loud it is. I absolutely would have put earbuds in if I had them on me.

Pretty good Vietnamese food

Good short ribs, good pork and egg roll vermicelli and pho!

Next nearest good Vietnamese food is in Forest Park and Morrow or Doraville.

So Ba is heavenly! I have to come here regularly to get my fix. The tofu appetizer is so crispy and the Com Tom (shrimp) with fried rice stays on my mind. The vibe is relaxed, and the service is always good. One of the many reasons why EAV is my go-to.
