Got the tritip plate, smelled like lighter fluid immediately opening the plate not a rich smokey flavor. Potatoe salad was basically mashed and mixed viggies are overcooked/over seasoned. Not to mention I had also ordered two pricy drinks for 5$ each and they did not arrive with order. I tried to call to confirm however automated phone answering glitchy and no matter what number you press will bring you back to the starting directory. First and last time trying it, the plate was 28$ I would sell it at 15$ for the quality and value.

Jay, the owner, made sure our group had everything we needed. Everything was fresh and flavorful. They accommodated those with food allergies or those who needed something made special. Our servers, Sam and Kayla, got our orders to us in a timely fashion and were so welcoming. We couldn’t ask for better!

EDITED TO ADD: Seems like Smokin Woods is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so I haven’t been able to contact anyone yet about a refund. No email address, no option to leave a voicemail.
We ordered pickup around 8pm on a Sunday night- website & Google both say open til 9pm. Ordered directly from their website, not through a 3rd party app. Drive there, it’s all chained up looking pretty closed. Called the phone number, sure enough, closed. No option to leave a message. Guess I’ll have to wait til tomorrow to try and get our money back.

Awesome bbq, the ribs were probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. Mac & Cheese was very good too. Very clean. The man cooking is the best in the valley when it comes to bbq. My only complaint was the customer service from the young latina girl at the register, she wasn’t friendly at all- she acted as if I was bothering her by ordering food and didn’t even smile or say thank you. I feel like especially in 2025, a little customer service goes a long way, but maybe she was just having a bad day. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place

Brisket was smoky and rub on it tasted great. Tritip also nice and smoky. Pulled pork tasted a little bland compared to the other two meats. The green beans were super crunchy and had a great buttery taste. Brussels sprouts also crunchy and potato salad decent. Coleslaw was fresh but could have used a little more seasoning. All BBQ sauces were awesome. Definitely recommend this place.

The food quality is great, the flavor great, portion horrible for the price, add a second side if meats are to expensive, but for $40 for two people both sandwiches were tiny the side was reesers potato salad 5# cost $9 definitely not made in house..

They shouldn’t be listed on Doordash. I just lost 30 dollars, and my entire lunch time from work. I drove around downtown Fresno for over 30 min, just to try and find a parking spot. And with all the construction, there was no place to park. I had to cancel my order, and eat the $30 dollars and had to go back to work without lunch. Just take yourself off doordash until you become an actual restaurant with parking.

First of all when you walk up you can smell the bbq goodness. I got their special “The Woods”. Its a cheese burger with brisket , tri tip and and onion ring witg fries. Hands down the best bbq ive ever had. Meat was full of flavor and so moist and tender. The briskit had a nice crunchy bark for texture….mmmmm soooo good. I will 100% be going back and will reccomend to everyone

They were out of pulled pork and ribs. Ordered a Tri-tip sandwich with green beans. The BBQ sauce was amazing. Highly recommend the blackberry lemonade.

Went into eat for the time Sunday afternoon, food tasted well. Once getting home (Visalia) my husband started feeling sick. I began feeling sick around 4-5 hours after eating. We both developed food poisoning, excessive vomiting and trips to the restroom.
