My husband and I ordered lunch from here during this past summer the week after the 4th of July. We had no issue putting our order in online and I walked down from our hotel just outside downtown to pick it up and bring it back.

We ordered and I arrived right at prime lunch hour. There was a long line of customers waiting to order. I decided not to add a beverage as I had already paid online and there didn’t seem to be an easy way to do so. There also was not a separate didn’t designated area to pick up orders. I was there about 10 minutes off to the side of the line alternately waiting to see if they called out names for pick up orders or if I could ask at the counter about it without appearing to budge. Eventually, a nice employee noticed me and handed it to me.

We ate about 10 minutes later on our hotel porch. My husband had the Philly melt, which was okay. I had ordered the Caprese, but unfortunately the sheer amount of pesto that was on the sandwich made it inedible. I was looking very forward to this item, but it felt like I was eating straight pesto by the mouthful. However, the bacon cheese fries were delicious! Definitely the star for us.

We are not local, but if we are in the area again, I might be open to trying it again at an off-hour to see if that makes a difference.

Everything we had was incredible, especially the crab melt. They even had some good gluten free options. The place was packed, so we took our meals outside to the park across the street. Would love to come back

I love Melt and I am definitely going to come again!!!!!! The guy at the register was very friendly and helpful with making our lunch choices. They offer a fantastic lobster roll tossed with mayo or butter and you can get it 4oz, 6oz, or 8oz. My sister and I got the 6oz roll with butter to split (they even cut it in half for us) & a small order of crab fries. My dad got the Ultimelt (essentially a grilled cheese with bacon on sourdough) and everything was absolutely incredible!! We couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was and we highly recommend this place for lunch!! The restaurant itself is skinny with not many spots to sit, but the park across the street makes up for it. Definitely check this place out the next time you’re in Bar Harbor!

Melt has the yummiest sandwiches. We were touring in Bar Harbor and stumbled upon this restaurant. We tried the fresh crab roll, mac & cheese, philly, buffalo chicken sandwiches, their special fries and dip and all of them were great taste and portion wise. The restaurant has very limited counter seating but there is a park right opposite with lots of benches and amazing views.

Best 27 bucks spent on sandwich ever. Pricey but worth your money. Got the crab meat (real fresh crab meat) melt with tomatoes. SO GOOD. There are only a few high chairs to sit at, but for such a small unpretentious spot the food is really good! Would 100% recommend. If I could share, maybe get the half lobster meat, half crab roll. The fries are also good, maybe I’ll get the loaded with crab meat next time.

If you want quick lobster rolls, this place is excellent. Had the Lobster Roll 4 oz – which had way more than 4 oz. Lobster tasted great. Appropriate amount of mayonnaise. Bun was toasted just right. Took less than 5 minutes to prepare after ordering.
Have counter space to sit and eat. Otherwise, a nice park across the street.

Take out place with amazing grilled cheese sandwiches and fries! I didn’t get a picture of the fries but they’re wedge style, which I usually don’t like (too much potato, not enough crunch) but THESE are NOT THAT! These were the perfect amount of crisp to potato ratio. We enjoyed our food at Agamont Park across the street – highly recommend!

This place has amazing food. I’ve been multiple times and never waited more than 5 minutes for my food. The Gooey Grilled Cheese with Lobster added to it and the Crab Melt with tomato are my favorite items on the menu! (Yay for supporting local lobstermen!!)
While seating is limited, the park across the street has many benches that over look the ocean, don’t miss out on this place.

We loved this place, it should be in every city! It’s a fantastic fast-casual restaurant with limited bar stool counter seating. I recommend ordering your food and taking it to the nearby park for waterfront bench seating. The service is fast and incredibly friendly. The sourdough bread they serve is delightfully soft yet crispy, and the combination of cheeses is perfect.

The fries here are easily the best in town—they’re thick-cut with a delicious bread coating. We tried them with chipotle and jalapeño ranch dips; our favorite was the ranch, which wasn’t too spicy—definitely a must-try! We initially ordered a large serving but should have gone with the small; it was more than enough for us. Even the sandwiches are generously portioned and can be shared.

Overall, there’s so much deliciousness packed into every bite here! Bring your family for a quick and flavorful lunch experience.

At about $22 for a 4oz lobster roll, it’s middle of the road prices. There’s higher price ones here at Bar Harbor and different ports in the Eastern Seaboard.
Taste was decent, not over dressed. Service was efficient fast food style.
There’s stools in this longish store for sit down also.
