Heard they had a dedicated fryer and offered a Gluten Free bun so I ventured in. Barb and Angelo were awesome and very helpful. I had an delicious burger and Garlic Parm fries. Dedicated beef Tallow fryer makes the fries taste amazing. The burger was also top shelf.

From the moment we walked in, the greeting was friendly and genuine. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and had that comfortable, local spot vibe. You can tell they truly care about their customers.
The burgers were fresh, flavourful. Everything tasted homemade and high quality — not your typical fast-food experience. The portions were generous.
It’s always nice when a place lives up to the hype, and this one absolutely did. We’ll definitely be back. If you’re in Barrie and love a good burger, this spot is worth checking out!

I am here from NB on a family issue and I was beyond exhausted and hungry. I would like to mention how friendly the man at the front is, I wonder if he is Pete?? Anyways, immediately walking in the door he makes you feel like you are welcome and that they genuinely appreciate your business, which truly went a long way with me..5 stars for that alone.
So many options and varieties, impressively so. I opted to keep it simple and went with a bacon cheeseburger with garlic parm fries to go. WOW! amazing!! The fries were really good, a generous portion even though I ordered a small. But my burger..OMG, that was amazing! The bacon wasn’t that cheap thin stuff either, it was the thick good kind. The patty tasted homemade Yum!!
The price was surprisingly fair, in hindsight I feel like I ripped them off with how little I paid for the portion and quality I received. I will be back again before I go home to NB

First time visiting this burger joint, food was amazing. Had the jalapeno melt and texmex burger with a side of Cajun fires and garlic Parm onion rings. Everything was great, service was friendly and quick! Highly recommend, especially trying the garlic Parm onion rings

Me and my brother have been curious about Pete’s for a while since we’ve always walked passed them whenever visiting barrie. Today we decided to finally try them and we both agree that this is the best burger place we’ve been too. Food is amazing with awesome portions and the staff is extremely friendly making you feel like family from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. We will definitely be back with friends and family and encourage others to give this amazing place a try.

Was the first customer of 2026, had watched there tiktok videos and had to drive up from Alliston to try there 10oz East Coast Donair on a Pita. It was worth the drive. Food great, staff very friendly and would highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back.

The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I honestly can’t properly express how good that a la vodka chicken hero Sandwich is. I’ve lived in Barrie for 10 years and have truly been missing out by not getting this sooner. Do yourself a favour and try this place out.
