Stopped by for lunch and met Smokey Jim himself.
Tons of regulars so you know it’s good, and super friendly owner doesn’t even cover it. You could see the passion and happiness in the way he told us about the food. We got recommended the grilled cheese with bacon and brisket and it was incredible! The pickles at the front counter are beyond good too!

First time trying our local Smokey Jim’s BBQ and we were amazed by the genuine passion for their business and customer satisfaction. As first time customers Jim had my husband try a new product, a pulled pork walking taco (So good!). We ordered meat platters trying a total of four different meat options, which were all great. Good bbq. I had the choose 3 meats with beans, Mac and cheese , and a side of corn bread. Ribs were out of this world good the brisket and pork was a little dry but still tasty with the sauce . The sides on the other hand (beans and mac) were simply just bland I had high hopes for both and was pretty disappointed. The corn bread was absolutely perfect tho. Definitely give it a try and I’ll definitely be back to try the nachos next time I’m out that way.

Excellent food with generous portions. The pulled pork sandwich and the Mac and cheese are delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try the ribs. The owner allowed us to try a stuffed shell he made that was to die for. I have not stoped thinking about them.

It’s just a take out place their is a place to sit outside like a few picnic tables.
We asked for the BBQ sauce on the side of our ribs but they smothered it on the riibs. We didn’t like it…. the sausage was not cooked all the way through….they ran out of ribs at about 3:00.
Mac and cheese tasted old and not that good….
A muffin was 4.00 that was for 1 must of had gold in it ….left it their….

Brisket and pulled pork was kind of dry but flavorful.
Chicken was good.
Mac and cheese was bland.
Ribs had more of a ketchup taste to them.
Kielbasa was good, very friendly staff….its ok overall.

Great experience at Smokey Jim’s! The Pitmaster himself was awesome and his passion for smoking is clear. We discussed a number of aspects of the business and I enjoyed our convo. NOW, the food was “right on”. Brisket, ribs, pulled pork were very good. I highly recommend the 3 meat option. Sides were solid, with the cole slaw being my favorite though I had potatoe salad as well. His flavors are subtle but leave a great taste on your palate.
Here’s tip for all of you – his “Pickles” were outstanding. Freshly made and brined.

Definitely not worth the price. Portions are very small compared to other BBQ places. The sides are very bland, especially the mac and cheese which used to be very good, not sure why they changed it. Brisket and pulled pork are dried out. Very disappointed overall.

Was on my way to work last Thurs., saw Smokey Jim putting his OPEN flag out/up. Made a U turn had to try it. I had the 2 meat combo, brisket&ribs, OMG SOOOOOOO GOOD. both meats were VERY tender,. mac n cheese MMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Now I have to get MORE lol. I will buy enough just to tease coworkers. Hahahaaha. Give them a lil taste, they will be waiting for SMOKEY JIMS BBQ to open.
