Haven’t eaten at Smokey Bones in many years since the one back home closed. While on a day trip, we decided to eat here. It doesn’t seem too far from what I remember. Decent BBQ. The chicken was a bit dry unfortunately. Had to stand at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes before the hostess decided to seat us, and we were the only ones waiting.

We really appreciate Smokey Bones Fort Wayne for how it served us during the pandemic. Tonight we ordered a pick up order as a last minute option for dinner. I was disappointed in the online options. I could not order from the complete menu – only the “featured” options. We wanted a steak, not ribs and the only option offered now is an18 oz. sweetly coated option. We didn’t really need that big of a steak, nor did we want a sweet bourbon flavor. But I ordered anyway because of our past good experiences. Big mistake. The steak was sickening sweet for our taste. My biggest complaint is that the entire menu is not offered for online ordering so that’s why only 3 stars. The steak was cooked as we wanted (medium rare), and the sides were perfect, the food was ready when I got there for pick up. But,unfortunately, I doubt we will order pick up again since our options are so limited.

I’m new to Ft Wayne and I Came to try this place and coming from Texas obviously I’m looking for some awesome BBQ. I ordered at St Louis ribs with brisket, mashed potatoes, roasted corn. The ribs did not have allot of meat and we’re not anything worth bragging about. The brisket was really good though. Mashed potatoes and corn were a little bland. My hubby had just brisket and again it was delicious, he liked it. Sweet teas was also good. Fried pickles are also just okay. I did like the different sauces they had. A couple things I would say is that we had to ask for utensils which I feel should already be on the table or come with the menus and also I felt the food got cold really really quick. Overall it was just okay and I feel it is a little overpriced for the food they serve.

Awesome place for bbq or steak. Their ribs are just perfect. Great environment and service. And they are very affordable compared to the regular steakhouses.

Our party of 6 enjoyed an early Sunday lunch at Smokey Bones. It was very clean inside and out. It was pretty busy but we didn’t have to wait long for our table. There were so many items on the menue to chose from. The food was delicious, hot, and the portions were sizable.

Today was my first try at this establishment and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Fried Pickles, Brisket Platter, and Banana Pudding. My Server Theresa was amazing and attentive. The Manager Kenny came out to ask how everything was … I am so impressed I will definitely be back for lunch and make this a regular place to dine.

Food was too done! The only person that interacted was the server, and the atmosphere was unwelcoming from the time we stepped in the door. All workers looked so un friendly. The only good thing I have to say is that our server did not make one mistake, but she, too, had the it was strictly business look and attitude.
