Service is terrible! We arrived at 11:10 am, ten mins after open, the front door was locked, so we had to go through the restaurant next door to get to this one! We waited almost an hour for our food and there was only one other couple in at that time. The appetizer came out when the food came out, so there was really no point in ordering it. The chicken wings were not fully cooked. I asked at time of ordering for prices on 1/2 and 1 pound portions of the meat to take home, the waiter we had never returned with that request. We had to goto the bar to get drink refills because the waiter never came back with them and was asked several times. The French fries were cold. This was a first time, and a last time.

I had not been here in a while, for no particular reason. I can just walk in and breathe in the wonderful smokey aromas! Six of us dined for a late lunch and everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the big salad, which is a blue cheese wedge. I’ve never had this happen before but it came out warm? I’m not sure if it sat on a hot plate for a while or was accidentally under a warmer but the usual cold crispy iceberg was a little wilted and warm. I also ordered some brisket that was excellent and used the house red sauce and the sweet sauce, both very good! Post covid I’ve been hypersensitive to anything spicy, so these two sauces worked well. I will also say that the cornbread muffin and the sweet butter accompanying it or also excellent! My husband had the pork belly appetizer since he wasn’t as hungry. Others had the chicken Caesarsalad, ribs, combo plate… son-in-law chose the Alabama white sauce and the whiskey bbq, both on the spicy side but that’s what he loves! Other than the salad everything was excellent and the service was great too! Wish they had some kind of homemade lemonade on the menu, I always love barbecue places that do that! I occasionally drink fountain lemonade but would always prefer a homemade version, especially with BBQ.

Great atmosphere! Tons of bourbon to sip on…although we opted to not partake in libations. My husband had ribs and onion rings. He thought everything was tasty. Ribs fell apart, dry rub was very good. I tried to order several items and thru were all out, sadly.

Ordered the smokehouse sampled and it was enough to feed two adults and one toddler. My little one loved the beef brisket and my husband loved the cornbread. I was a fan of the chicken wings. The baked beans, Mac and cheese, and loaded mashed potatoes are all sides definitely worth trying. The meats were cooked to perfection with mouthwatering seasonings and homestyle sauces. Likelihood of coming back again? Yup. 9/10

This is our family’s favorite place to eat late. It is affordable, including cocktails under $10. Good ones. My husband and I always split the pitmaster which is $26 and plenty of food for the two of us. We get all the sauces and love each one. My kids love it and so do my parents. The six of us can be seated, order, finish cocktails, appetizers, and entrées in about 45 minutes.

Went in today, May 27th, around 8:20 pm to get something Togo and get this back for over $20.. Felt like there needs to be more, tried a little, and the sausage is so overdone and dry I truthfully didn’t know that could be done, the brisket was cold and the sides don’t even make me laugh as they are so small.. As it was “togo,” it was also missing a fork or another to eat it with.. The only reason it gets 2 stars over 1 is that the lady who took my order was nice.

Okay, so in all fairness I got here pretty close to closing time. And while I always believe that the food should be just as good at closing as it is at opening, I realized that’s not always the case.

I visited for the first time earlier today with my husband. Service could’ve been much better. It took awhile for someone to come to our table and he didn’t seem too friendly, just gave us our menus and left. The next guy that came to take our order was very friendly. Unfortunately after we got our food he only checked on us once maybe 5 mins after we got our food. He seemed too busy talking to the other young man up front. I had to go up to him to tell him we wanted the check.

Flavorless mac and cheese, greens, and string beans. Ribs were also flavorless. A side of barbecue sauce is much needed. Pulled pork was also very dry. Maybe I caught them on a bad day.

Way more than five star worthy!! We loved this place! Staff was super friendly and willing to answer any questions that we had, without acting like it was killing them to do so! Special shout out to our server, Jordan. He was exceptionally nice and attentive!! Love the decor in this place. Just fabulous! They give you this cute little carafe of water, which was adorable! The food was absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich with fries, and absolutely LOVED the coleslaw! I had the Pitmaster Special, and it was heaping with food! I got 4 bones, 4oz of pulled pork, 4oz of brisket, 2 sides and a piece of cornbread. The meat was excellent, the mashed potatoes were good, the green beans had onions, which I can work around, but the Mac and cheese….I’m gonna have to agree with other reviewers, that it did have a weird/different taste, so much so, that I couldn’t finish it. Not the end of the world though. It wouldn’t keep me from going back. The cornbread with honey butter was also delicious, but could’ve stood to be a little warmer. We tried the house bbq, sweet bbq and heat bbq. My husband liked the house bbq best. It was the most subtle in flavor. I favored the sweet and the heat bbq sauces. Both definitely had good flavor and weren’t overpowering! We will definitely be back!! Keep up the good work SmokeWorks!!
