Today they had the best chicken spaghetti I had in a while. I guess they have it every Tuesday if anyone wants to try it out. Their side dishes was great also as I had the green beans and mashed potatoes with white gravy. Couldn’t resist trying their famous hot water fried cornbread. The atmosphere is friendly and quiet.

If you like good old southern style buffet then you will love this place. Yes they make their own collard greens and they are perfect. Atmosphere is quiet and peaceful but has that good ol “grandma’s house” feel. When you walk in you can’t help but feel like your home. Great portions for a decent price. Food is amazing. And it has been owned by the same lady for longer than a gentleman would tell you. I love this place and will continue to go. Have been since I was younger lol.

It was our 44th anniversary and we love to try little out of the way, no frills/good food places. This place is just that! The ladies there that night were so friendly and accommodating. The brisket was the best we’ve ever had. Will be back soon with family!

I really enjoyed the home-cooked food choices. It’s like a small buffet. Their chicken fried steak and white gravy are delicious. And best but not least-hot water cornbread, (name?), LOVE IT! The only negative thing is, to me, it seemed a little more expensive than I expected. And they were that way before COVID-19 too. All in all, just great food!

If you have other choices, it would probably be in your best interest to choose elsewhere. The staff is great (the 2 stars are for the staff). We weren’t impressed at all by the food. The brisket was so dry. We didn’t find the food at all appealing or tasty and have decided that a trip to the Whataburger drive thru is appropriate to feed my 7 yr old since he wouldn’t eat the food here.

Food was AWESOME!!! It is buffet style. Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes w/gravy, green beans, toast, small bowl of peach cobbler and s soft drink was $14.81. A little pricey for lunch for one person, but it good.

Great chicken fried steak. Cornbread was a little dry. Ran out of the special, but it was 4:30pm. Price is a little high. If it was $12.00 a plate It would have been better.

STOP YOUR SCROLL! And go eat here!!!! The hot water cornbread is the best in East Texas. The service is next to none. The food was soooooooo flavourful and did I mention the portions were more than enough. One of the cooks has been there like almost 30 years. That says a lot for this establishment. So worth the drive from Kilgore.
