1ONE WORD “Unsatisfactory!” That’s a pic of The Owner Roy. I would NOT recommend this place. As I worked for Roy and had my Main job that I had even WAY before I started working and delivering for him. He was really extremely Slow! And I needed work so I went and worked my Main job I’ve been with for over a year! And I texted him saying and telling him that I was working and he responded back with “Ok” and he was also giving Me free food too. So when I was all done working with my main job and went back to him he said he was mad @ Me and like was a TOTALLY different person after that didn’t treat me right Lied to me saying he would call me if he had any deliveries “Never” did I ever even hear a word! Not “1!” ALL because he was extremely slow and I needed to work and btw the food isn’t all that great! Cheap Meat on the Ribs.. lot’s of Fat! Roy is a 2 Faced person thought he was good when I first met him, but I was deceived. He’s no better than the next person. Talks about God n The Lord. And then does this!? That’s NOT ONLY Judgemental but also Backstabbing as well and No 1ONE has the right to Judge. I would Avoid this place @ All costs. My Honest Opinion. Yw

The meat was fantastic! Roy and his team do a great job. Everything was so delicious- we had the pulled pork, tips, and ribs, and he even let us order off menu for our 2 year old. He came out to our table to see how everything was, and we had a great time chatting and getting to know more about his restaurant. We look forward to seeing his business grow!

The worst $30 I’ve ever spent. Ordered the tips and hot link platter. Both were unedible. I’ve never tasted barbecue this bad. The sauce didn’t make it any better. Thumbs down! But I will admit the customer service is good. The staff was really friendly. But the food is GROSS! Threw it all away after about 3 bites…

Fabulous find, the meat is some of the best smoked in the area. But the French fries OMG so crispy. The staff is very friendly and when the extra mile to accommodate my crazy eating style (no bread, no sugar – so yeah I only got a fry or two ;( ) I would ask for no sauce next time (that meat doesn’t need it) it had too much sugar for me.

Good food. Ordered pulled pork sandwich. There was a lot of bbq sauce, a lot more then I like was very messy but good. Think I would have preferred the sauce on the side. I liked the fire place out side so you could smell the smoke from far away, nice touch. Over all I’m sure I will be back.

I’m giving 3 stars because I liked the brisket. I possibly would have loved it except they forgot the cole slaw on both mine and my husbands. He really liked it and said he’d eat it again but also said the coleslaw would have made it better. Their BBQ sauce is delicious!

Excellent customer service. I food was burned. Eating some of the rib tips was terrible. I had a lot of hard burnt peices that shouldn’t have been on a plate. The chicken wrap was excellent, but barbecue was a no go. I hate to give a bad review, but $10 for small tip that was full of burnt black peices and food had a taste of being burnt as it looked.

This restaurant is top notch. The price is good and the food is totally amazing. The portions are so great and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This restaurant will be a regular for me. The owner takes care of his staff and customers. All the food smells and tastes great. I recommend all people to try it and see for yourself.

Owner Roy is what is missing in the Dekalb food scene PERIOD. EXCELLENT attitude and patience with customers and an absolute artist in the kitchen. His staff were very nice as well. I ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches w/ fries and a drink on both. By far best BBQ in Dekalb. Hands down, no contest. These guys are going places with their food. 5/5 Would recommend and definitely will be back again!

Family oriented, charming staff. Food was excellent, the shredded beef sandwich was excellently seasoned and had a wonderful accompanying BBQ sauce. Clean, not expensive, close to NIUs campus. Will keep coming here!
