Stylish American eatery with an expansive, meat-centric menu & craft beer in a pared-down setting.

Absolutely ! Flavor decadence, we had the platter all meat sampler and an entree of pumpkin risotto. We were there on Valentines day with out a reservation! Let me say they were incredible with accommodations! This is one wonderful team of staff , they worked exceptionally to serve, and maintain thier flow . This is a do not miss while your in town location!!

This was our first time visiting Traverse City, and we were looking for a BBQ spot for lunch. The restaurant turned out to be a great choice—the food and atmosphere were both very good. Everything is made from scratch (our waiter joked, ‘except the ketchup and the buns’). We tried the pulled pork, which was tender and tasty, and the sides with the ‘pit version’ had a nice gourmet touch. Next time we’re in town, we’ll definitely be back to try the ribs.

Don’t order the salmon entree. It came out in a watery broth that smelled like rotten fish and had a greasy, orange film on top. The fish itself was undercooked. They also put potatoes and wilted spinach in the broth, and an un-toasted crostini with a cold remoulade on top of the fish. None of it made any sense, and it just smelled and tasted awful. Even after leaving, I gagged thinking about it. My fiancé got the BBQ platter. Most of the meat was overcooked and tasteless. The drinks were good, and our server was super prompt and helpful. Otherwise, a huge let down.

We arrived at the end of the night and there was a snowstorm so there was only another couple. The service was great and the staff were fun to interact with. I had the shirt rib that was the special for the day. It was delicious and smoky but the only thing I would have changed was that it needed a pan sauce ass the exterior was a bit dry and the carrot puree was somewhat bland. My GF had the BBQ plate and that didn’t seem like a great value for the amount you get.
My only suggestion about the interior is that it was COLD in there. For a smokehouse, a fireplace would make the perfect addition to the ambiance.
We’ll definitely go back!

Had another amazing meal at this restaurant! The fish and chips was amazing, with fresh, flaky john Cross whitefish. The fried smoked chicken was crispy with a nice smoky flavor and absolutely delicious. Paired it all with a great wine, and it was the perfect combination. Our waiter, Paul, was as charming as ever, making the experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to return – highly recommend!

Looks can be deceiving, it looks like a slightly modified old Big Boy which is odd. We chose this restaurant based on reviews so we gave it a shot. The service was mehhhh, inattentive bartender and employees discussing waiter/waitress drama. You can see a big ole microwave through the kitchen window which threw a warning but we decided to order food. We ordered the brisket dinner and the short rib gnocchi, both were excellent. The sides that came with the dishes were odd and didn’t compliment it but tasted good. Overall, it was good but overpriced for what it actually was.

Three people working that we seen after we seated ourselves. We did not see any of them for a few minutes after we walked in. It is why we seated ourselves. The inside of the place was cool. Beer, wine, and mixed drink menu was amazing. Very large selection of all of them. The food had a mild smoke taste. The waffle fries were lukewarm at best and not crisp. 4 stars is a push for me, but the beer did taste dang good. We did find a dirty napkin in our booth. Think it just got overlooked since the booth is black and so are the napkins.

My husband and I ate here today for Resturant week and it did not disappoint! The flavors with our starters, entrees and desserts were top quality! We loved it!

We wanted to love it. The reviews were great and we were hungry so this was the spot we selected. We started with the soup, which was lovely. For dinner, I got the roasted carrots and farro because farro is one of my favorite meals. It was so oily and the flavor was not at all what I expected. I tried to just eat the carrots but gave up. The rosemary potatoes were my other order and they were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich and ate half of it before deciding it wasn’t worth finishing. He felt like there was too much going on with the sandwich and the flavors weren’t complimentary. We decided to give dessert a try, but even that went unfinished. The chocolate cake tasted much like a chocolate muffin perhaps soaked in some kind of liqueur in a few places? Or maybe just a sauce drizzle?
Our server was good and the food came out fast. We do generally try to eat on the healthier side, so maybe the really rich and heavier things on the menu would have been good?

The food and drinks are so yummy! My husband had the brisket, and he raved about it being the best brisket he’s ever had, which says a lot because he smokes his own meat. I had the Truffle Huffer, which was just as delicious and very juicy. We also grabbed a small side of the mac, it is not your mommas mac but in a good way. You must try the liquid inspiration if you are a whiskey person. For the ladies, new on their menu, the spring fling, with a hint of lavender and bubbly You gotta try it! We will be back for sure
